Sam's Cafe is a go-to spot for delicious gyros, jalapeno poppers, and cheeseburgers. Known as a staple of late-night Carbondale food, everything is made to order and tastes great. The cafe offers fantastic late-night options and has a cozy atmosphere. The employees create a welcoming space with fast and friendly service. The mega gyros are absolutely worth the price, filling the entire takeout box when paired with fries. Nidal is an icon there for years, remembers faces, and is always so friendly. The owner is amazing and deserves all the business for his wonderful character and humanity. Don't miss out on the amazing food, including the super delicious falafel pita, and occasional pop-up concerts outside the cafe! Customers have been loving this place for thirty years, driving up for the best gyros around. Some have eaten possibly some of the greatest food in their entire lives. The deluxe gyro, gyro cheeseburger, chicken shawarma, fries, and falafel were absolutely delicious with large portions, and half of it was gluten-free and amazing.
