“We enjoyed our visit to Kite Hill. As stated by others, Barb is amazing and takes time to make sure you enjoy your selection. We met some friends of hers and the wine maker who made us feel at home. The property is amazing with great views. We strongly recommend this wi ery.“
“We met David and his family at a Red Rose Ball in Marion. They were such an inspirational family. Upon meeting them we felt so blessed. On occasion we have stopped at their winery and enjoyed purchasing a few bottles of the best tasting wines of our area. When entering the doors , until departure , you will feel you are in the comfort of your home. Fabulous wines as well as hospitality!“
“Little taste of what Spillway Road used to be, a great place for a party. Wonderful atmosphere, but don't expect a trendy upscale winery. Go late for the best experience. Nice fire pit. The wine is not the high point here, but maybe it will improve as they get better at it. Very friendly staff, lots of parking. Wish it was there 50 years or so ago.“
“We attended the total Eclipse of the sun 2024 at the blue sky winery and it was the best decision that day!, the winery was packed and still a great experience!! The organization of the event was a success, we saw the eclipse, we drank sangria and we danced to the awesome music they had... It was a total win!! I highly recommend this winery! I have been coming here since 2005! Love it!“
“Decent wine, nice bar hosts at original location. A heads up, there are two locations. They had made a post on their Facebook page about a strawberry sangria. Our VRBO was close to the original location so we decided to head there. Once we arrived, the bar host kindly told us there were two locations and that the other one, which was another 20 minute drive had the sangrias. We were a bit disappointed, as it was in the evening and wanted something close by our VRBO. They need to specify on their Facebook page which location is serving what. It’s too confusing. Also, Their hours are also not clearly posted, with two locations, their Facebook page mostly highlights the new second location. The original locations sign said open till 6pm and the bar host indicated 7pm.“
“My husband, Scott, and I stopped by here while visiting the area over Christmas weekend. A fabulous, friendly and personalized experience. We sampled the beer, rum, whiskey and brandy and purchased the 49/51 corn/rye whiskey and 110 proof Brandy. Yum! The owner was very knowledgeable and we greatly enjoyed chatting with him. A special thank you for the delicious persimmon brandy.“
