Nice location in downtown Carlyle across from the courthouse. For $17, I sort of expected ‘more’. On the good side - you get to control the salt in your food. I don’t know they put any extra salt in either the biscuits and gravy or the omelette. Both items were ‘okay good’ - could do a better job at presentation. Staff was friendly but sort of distracted at the same time. Overall a safe choice if you are in Carlyle.
Three Stars - It was ok. I think this place would be awesome if you were local and knew everybody. There seemed to be a lot of socializing between tables and waitresses but with outsiders. When you walk in it a seat yourself place, but there is no sign to tell you that. We awkwardly stood at the entrance until someone walked by. Then when we sat down we waited more than 15 minutes to get menus. (There was another out of town table who waited 30 minutes and was told there was confusion...
We stopped there yesterday to eat and had some Awesome food. Staff was very friendly ad helpful. Our meal was reasonably priced and we will go back!!! My Husband has 2 bowls of their chicken and dumpling soup, it’s hard to please me because I cooked over 50 years!!
