Greetings; in writing my review of Rob's Pit Barbeque in Carteville Illinois, I must say that those was the best tasting Rib Tips I've eaten since I was a little boy back in a small town in Arkansas. The meat was perfectly seasoned, thick, tender and juicy. The to-go plate was sufficient, although I could've eaten more, lol. Overall; everything was perfect, salute to the cooks, and hostess! Located off route 148 and 13. The brisket was good. Chicken wings were not very good. They have a minimal salad bar. The seating is dated and I uncomfortable. We will try this place again later sometime and see if anything has changed. Maybe try some more dishes.

This is not the same place it used to be. The food is edible but not anything to write home about, the service is lacking.Friday night is a great time to go. Nobody was there, the place was almost empty. Only two tables with two people each, including us.Our waitress took the order and brought drinks.
