Tasting Room at Walker's Bluff

Such a nice place! Ask about seeing the cave. We jokingly said we are renewing our vows because it is so beautiful!

We arrived during lunch time. A few other people were there but not too busy. The atmosphere was very pretty. Plenty of seating inside and out. We sat outside on the patio. Unfortunately they only had two people on staff, one cook and bartender. I tried their premade frozen strawberry daquari out of the slushi machine which was ok. My husband had water. We waited over 30min. for a salad. had to walk back inside and ask about our pizza. At which point were told it would be another 20min because they had just put it in and only have 1 oven. The pizza was taken off of our bill and we left. The bartender apologized and was respectful about it. For social gatherings, photos or small group nice place. Just not a good place to eat.

When we arrived we were greeted immediately. We were sat outside. The patio looked like it hadn’t even been open for the day/season. A majority of the chairs were missing cushions. I had to go on a scavenger hunt to find cushions for all of our chairs. During this time the gentleman that sat us was still there trying to get our drink orders, which seems great, but I hadn’t even looked at the menu. Once we were all sat everything seemed great, he took our food order and left. We didn’t see him again for 20 minutes. Three of us needed drinks, two women came and left by this time because no one ever helped them. We were the only table there at this time. The pizza was good Kath the toppings would slide right off if you tried to pick a slice up. Pretzel bites were good. The 312 was a wheat beer I enjoyed.

Beautiful place ! Delicious Margarita and Alfredo chicken pizza. The wine tasting fabulous! My favorite Old Man, Port and strawberry! It a great experience to visit if you like wines ! 100% recommended for a Sunday plan.

I have never been one to complain about service workers. I will make up every excuse as to why something was poorly and it isn’t their faults. But every single possible thing was awful. Waiting an hour and a half just to get a side salad with almost zero dressing? A single water pitcher for a 20 top? Room was nearly 80°. Multiple meals were incorrect, most were cold (including the plate!), my medium rare steak was PURPLE. Two guests had to leave early, never even got their food cause it took over an hour and a half to come out. Servers were confused the entire time. The young man we saw mainly around the bar area was trying so hard to fix it all. When approached about all this, the manager acted like he was clueless and was “going to look into it” and then disappeared. Only came up to us on our way out after he realized one of us left a bad review, to which he tried to blame us for being early (10min and we sent someone ahead of time to make sure it was okay) and the other large party for being late(?).

Today was my graduation. But instead of being able to focus on celebrating with my family we had to deal with all of this. And then to still expect us to pay their automatic gratuity? No offers of discounts, reparations, etc? And then to BLAME US? There were two 4-6 top tables in the main room when we arrived. We watched multiple others be sat and served before we even got our side salads. I cannot recommend this place in the slightest. Truly put a damper on what was supposed to be a really big day. I hope in the future you do your staff a favor and book more than two servers, 3 kitchen staff, and one bartender to handle a main dining area and two large parties. Beyond disappointing.

Had a 1pm reservation. We were even early. No one in the restaurant. We waited an hour and 45 for food. Then it showed up cold. Part of our party had to leave and didn’t even get to eat. The cold food was served in “shifts” I guess…..some of us were done eating before others even got their food. It was a party of 16….not a giant party. Water was left empty. Shrimp and grits even served cold…gross….when we asked the manager they were clueless and never even offered an apology. Horrible experience and 1 star is too many…do not recommend.

Nice place to go with good food. The wait staff is young, so you’ll have to be patient with them.
