The atmosphere takes you back to the charm of a California winery. They have extremely good service and a wonderful menu cooked to perfection. I personal enjoyed the tour of the cave venue.

The location is rual but not far from Carbondale IL, home of Southern Illinois University. It's a winery adjacent to a Walker's Bluff Casino and hotel. It's a nice casual place with pub food as well as more expensive meals. The atmosphere leans more toward a pub venue. The food prices are reasonable, as are the wines. The tasting is $5 for 5 tastings. We had a nice time.

When I looked online Walker, bluff sounded like a nice quaint little vineyard. But when you get there it's amazing. They've got a full on casino. They have a concert venue at their vineyard around the corner. They've got water features. There's a restaurant in there that has possibly the best food I've had in the continental United States. The staff was super friendly super informative. The wine grotto beneath something. You should not miss and if you did miss it. You need to go back and see it called down the rabbit hole and it's just like it. We were there in late autumn. You see all the swallows and I'm not sure what the other birds were called. Actually doing a murmuring if you've never seen it. You need to and we saw it here with plenty of nice wines in our gullet. It's one of those places you kind of look around like. Is there property I could buy close to here. We all have a good day now we did.
The food was very good, the service was good enoughMy only issue is that they served our appetizers with plastic plates! Also, the water was served in disposable plastic cups. Not only is this environmentally irresponsible, it's tacky! Surely, you can do better than that. Just doesn't suit the vibe you are trying to create.

This is more than a tasting room--it's a bar that sells a lot of food. I had the salmon, my friend had a steak, and we shared spinach and artichoke dip. He had two cocktails and I had one. Total was a little over $100 before tip. This is part of the Walker's Bluff resort but is NOT at the casino.
