Food was delicious, sushi is very fresh and the fried rice was divine. Very friendly wait staff and a relaxed environment. The house sake is a must if you enjoy sake!
Such a lovely place wirh great food! I feel like they need an advertising boost to build awareness. It's not easy to notice them from Neil St.
Best sushi in Champaign? Staff is super friendly and food is great. Not usually crowded, so no stress there. So great!!

Sumo Kitchen is a great sushi restaurant known for its fresh and delicious food. The sushi is very fresh, and the fried rice is especially tasty. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff who provide attentive service. Many dishes are served in generous portions, and the presentation is always good. Signature rolls like the Spicy Yellowtail Roll, Spicy 2-in-1, and Lobster Roll are highly recommended and offer good value. Vegetables tempura sushi rolls and udon noodles are also popular choices, and vegetarian options like tofu are available upon request. The house sake and plum sake are both enjoyable, with the plum sake standing out. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes including Crab Rangoon, Sashimi Tuna, grilled Tiger Prawns, and Seared Scallop Nigiri, which are all well-liked. Prices are reasonable, and the Large Sushi Tray with chef-selected rolls is a standout for its stunning presentation and rich flavor. Overall, Sumo Kitchen provides high-quality sushi and friendly service in a comfortable setting, making it a favorite for many repeat visitors.
