About Sushi Ichiban

Sushi Ichiban is a hidden gem serving the freshest and best sushi in town, even surpassing more expensive establishments. The restaurant offers a unique "hole in the wall" experience, with a quirky atmosphere that adds to its charm. The owners are genuine and unapologetic, which only enhances its appeal. The all-you-can-eat sushi option is a great value at $30, with a few rules in place to encourage responsible food ordering. The sushi pieces are larger than usual, so customers should order wisely. Many visitors praise the incredibly fresh sushi, especially the salmon, which is often considered the best around. The atmosphere is laid-back and homey, making it a comfortable spot. Friendly and welcoming service, along with delicious food, makes it well worth a visit. Just be prepared for a short walk, as parking in the campus area can be challenging. The restaurant also offers affordable options like chicken teriyaki and large, warm miso soup, making it a great place for quick and satisfying meals.

Sushi Ichiban is my favorite restaurant on campus, hands down. The food there is absolutely amazing. The owner is very friendly, and the service is always quick. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is cozy, and welcoming - with tables, booths, and window seating where you can look outside and people watch while you enjoy your food. The prices for the quality of the food are great. The 3 Roll Special is my go to for the quantity and price. I have come here for anniversaries, my...read full review

I have been a customer for over 10 years. It is my favorite sushi spot in town. Great rolls selection and food, great prices and kind owners. Would highly suggest checking their restaurant out. Definitely a hidden gem in the C-U area.

I often go here for some affordable sushi as they usually fill me right up for a grand total of $12. The veg options are a bit minimal compared to the whole menu, but they are tasty. They also give free water if you spend 8$ or more.
The sushi isn’t as “nice-looking” as other places, but the cost makes up for that.
