“definitely my favorite sushi place in CU! the place may be small, but its always nice and clean. the menu has so many options to choose from! And the food itself, especially the sushi, its amazing. definitely a place to go to if you dont know what to “
“The food and service is excellent! Wait times are usually long and expected due to the quality of food but after waiting over two hours for a table to celebrate a birthday, it would have been appropriate for them to tell us that their liquor license hadn’t been reactivated post COVID before they actually seated us. We would have found another restaurant with alcohol since a birthday celebration. I felt they should have been more forthright. So be aware! They had delicious cocktails and sake pre-Covid!“
“I recently tried the new Asian restaurant and it exceeded my expectations! The diverse menu, featuring ramen, sushi tacos and burritos, dumplings, boba tea, and more, offers a delightful variety. Ordering and waiting at your table is convenient, eliminating the need for a waiter. The fair prices and generous portions make it a great value. The food arrived quickly, and was delicious! The restaurant's clean and Naruto/Anime-themed decor added a unique touch. The friendly staff contributed to a positive experience. We'll be back to explore more of their offerings!“
“AMAZING!! I brought my family here visiting from Wisconsin it’s our first time eating here . Food was so fresh and fabulous and the owner was super friendly definitely will be a repeat customer very clean inside as well. We had the Big Kahuna bowls with spicy tuna and the beef teriyaki platter both absolutely delicious!! A++++“
“The all you can eat is well done, they bring all of the rolls you order first round at the same time which is nice,. I've been to other AYCE places that bring them one at a time. Just wish they had more rolls that didn't have tempura inside or as flakes (or atleast allowed you to request no tempura flakes on top). I can't eat the tempura breading so that kind of limited my optionsDietary restrictions: They don't allow any substitions/changes to rolls with all you can eat which limits choices for people with dietary restrictions“
“We got the teriyaki-chicken dinner box. It was pretty good and filling. I would’ve liked more chicken then rice but besides that I really enjoyed this meal. The price was a little high but I would still come back. The setting was a little small and not like the pictures from other reviews.“
“We normally go to another sushi place but they weren't open so we went to Sushi Man and were very happy with the food. We did an online order and picked it up. Food tasted great, spent half of what we normally spend on sushi, and will start going to Sushi Man when we're in town.“
“The food area is always clean and a the food is always kept fresh. There is always a good variety of food choices. The only thing I dislike is their chicken noodle soup. You are never made to feel like you have to rush through your food. Prices have raised a bit but not as much as McDonald's and fast foods have risen.Parking: Large free parking lotKid-friendliness: Plenty for kids to eat... even pizza!“
“Loved this place so much! The sushi was great and the fish tasted really fresh. My friends and I didn't have to wait long for our food, but even if we had, there's so much in this place to look at that I'm sure the time would have flown right by. This is the place to go if you want a real "hole in the wall" restaurant experience with fantastic food to boot. Also gotta appreciate the moxie of the owners for just straight up arguing with the people who leave bad reviews. It's hilarious and feels so much more human and genuine than those businesses that try and kiss up to anyone who comes into their place. I wish I wasn't leaving Champaign so soon or I'd definitely be going here again. If you live nearby, do me a favor and give this place all the business you can—you won't regret it.“
“I've been to kofusion previously and liked it a lot but I am not entirely crazy about their new location. The ambience is decidedly different at this new location - it almost seems too upscale for the cu community. Though I think their sushi and sashimi is pricey as opposed to some of my favorite LA and Seattle spots, I wanted to take my new-to-sushi experience brother and sister-in-law so we attempted to visit Wednesday night, arriving at about 8:20pm only to be told the kitchen was closed and that they were at last call for the bar. Being from places where one doesn't even go out until 7:30-8pm, I hadn't realized they closed so early and that's entirely my fault, but just now I checked the hours and learned Wednesday night closing time is 8:45pm. I'll remember that next time I go back, IF I bother to go back.“
“You're going to have a hard time finding a better hibachi place. and I've been to a ton of hibachi places. This is definitely tied for my favorite of all time. Seriously, this is consistently one of the best. And although I always come here for the hibachi, the shrimp on fire roll probably one of the best sushi rolls you will ever have as well.“
“I had the Omakase on 2/10/24. It was, without a doubt, the best dining experience I have had in years. Ken is an expert and extremely gracious host. His knowledge and explanation of the dishes as well as the casual and extremely enjoyable conversation made this a dinner to remember. This was my first visit to Ishi & Kaori and I have already told my friends about it. We are currently checking our calendars for future months in hopes of another experience. I hope to come back soon for the regular menu, as well as another Omakase.“
