Food was great & well presented.
Hands down best quality fish/sushi you’ll find in Chicago. Is it in a grocery store? Yes. Are the seats kinda uncomfortable? Sure. But I’ve eaten sushi all over the city and nothing has come close to 312 Fish Market.
Top tier fish, we go here as our #1 choice anytime we're craving sushi
The fish itself is very fresh, and the nigiri is amazing, well worth the time to come here and don’t let its initial look (inside a market) fool you, they import their fish from Japan! The chirashi had too much onion and radish in the rice for me to enjoy though, covered the taste of the fish so it knocks a star off for that.
The blonde girl at the register is terrible. I ordered to go and she completely forgot about me, which is difficult because they only had two customers sitting at the time. So 20 minutes later i asked about my order and she went and picked it up from the to go section, didn't even apologize
Hands down the best sushi in Chicago, fresh and delicious.
Incredible sushi with fresh fish that's been on par with much more expensive restaurants. Truly impressive quality. We'll come back with a group to try thr party size dishes!

It was my son's first hot pot experience, he loved it. Very friendly, menu was extensive and the broth was flavor full. The staff was very welcoming.

We were looking for a place to go for lunch and saw good reviews. The sashimi platter came out and amazed us. Presentation on point. Really enjoyed our experience.

Great bang for your buck with the party platters. Had Salmon Paradise for 2 and couldn't finish it.

I went here for my partners birthday on a Monday afternoon. We ordered 2 apps and 3 rolls
Seaweed salad: was fine, but wish it was more flavorful
Salmon crudo: pretty good!! Tasty and fresh
Chicago fire: lacked any texture felt kinda mushy in the mouth, but was spice for sure!
Amber alert: pretty good, but not $25 worth. Not spicy at all
Phoenix: our favorite nice piece of fresh tuna
Also weird thing but our second pitcher of water tasted odd, almost like sweat 😖
Overall I was glad to try it, but not dying to come back. I noticed a service charge at the bottom of my check and asked what it was for. My server said they didn't know, but they couldn't take it off. I asked if there was a manager available to talk to, but he said no. Put a damper on our mood, especially since we paid cash. It is what it is. But sick of restaurants sneaking on add on fees to the bill at the end.

7.50 for the fresh muki hotate Japanese scallop, and it turned out to be fake, disappointing. I came here a few times before in 2022, and everything was fresh and great value. I ordered takeout today, and got a variety of sashimi, nigiri, maki, and handrolls. The fake scallop really disappointed me, because it was the one I was looking forward to the most. It did not taste like scallop at all - the taste and texture was more like some kind of fish. Everything was else was great, but not amazing. The one standout is the salmon belly, which was fresh and melted in my mouth.
I placed an order Sunday evening through UberEats and my food was prepared & ready for pickup in <20 minutes. They have a good variety of rolls and other appetizers/entrees on their menu. Their prices are reasonable for downtown Chicago and they accepted a few promo codes through the app (30-40% off, max $15 discount). I ordered the Philadelphia roll ($6 for 6 pieces), Godzilla Special Roll ($17 for 10 pieces), and Firecracker Special Roll ($16 for 6 pieces). All rolls were prepared well, the seafood used was fresh, and everything tasted great. The Firecracker Roll was too spicy for my liking, so I wouldn’t recommend it if your heat tolerance doesn’t go over mild/medium. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area or just craving sushi.
