I visited 676 Restaurant & Bar on Michigan Avenue for breakfast last weekend and came away with mixed impressions. The setting is lovely — it’s on the fourth floor of the Omni Chicago Hotel, and the floor-to-ceiling windows give you a great view of the hustle and bustle of the Magnificent Mile.
We ordered pancakes (a signature item) and the skirt steak with eggs. The steak was solid and cooked as expected, but unfortunately the pancakes arrived under-cooked — it felt like they’d been rushed out, so we returned them. Also, the price struck me as a little high for a breakfast outing — you’re definitely paying for the location and view as much as the food. All in all the experience had its highs and lows: the ambiance and views are excellent, and the steak was satisfying, but the pancakes misstep and elevated cost knock it down a notch.

The restaurant itself is on the 4the floor so you have to take the elevator up. It’s honestly very worth it. Adrian at the bar and victor on the waitstaff are absolute professionals. Very attentive and incredibly personable. Cannot say enough good things about these two (everyone was great, these two names just stood out to me). All around a great experience at 676 over the week I stayed at the Omni.

Dena gave us incredible service! She was attentive, kind, and made sure we enjoyed our evening. We’re not staying at the hotel and were looking for something close by—we’re so glad we chose this location! The food was great and drinks were delicious, but Dena made our experience exceptional!
This restaurant had a very limited menu with not many options, which was surprising considering it was associated with the Omni Hotel. We ended up not even eating here. We ordered a glass of wine then left to eat somewhere else.

Loved this restaurant while staying in Chicago. Located inside Omni hotel. Hotel is nice and this is convenient. The host at the front is very friendly, and Nancy the server was awesome. We had several meals here and they were all amazing. We definitely recommend checking this place out for breakfast and dinner.
