We arrived to the Hilton at 10 pm after a long train ride from St Louis, a day of long delays that put us behind by 7 hours. The wait staff at the restaurant was phenomenal. It felt so nice to be treated so well after such a rough day. We had some appetizers to share and a sweet treat before heading to our room for the night.

This place offers an amazing breakfast buffet. For under $35, you'll leave full and happy! The on-site chef prepares custom omelets with your choice of ingredients—mine was perfect! The buffet also includes French toast, chicken hash, bacon, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, a bakery bar, and freshly squeezed orange juice, among other items.

The service was hospitable. Angel and David were both very pleasant, refilling our coffees and water, and overall attending to our table. They ensured my coworkers and I received excellent service!

Overall, this restaurant hit the mark with its buffet selection. The options were plentiful and delicious!

Seating is first come first serve and you just sit where you want which is fine except it can take a long time to get help as no one is “assigned” to you. I sat for about 20 minutes before I finally could flag someone down to take my order. Food came out about 15 minutes after that. The waitress who did end up helping me was very very kind and was very attentive after that.
Food was meh, personally not worth the price for me. Wouldn’t come back here again.

Excellent breakfast buffet. The staff is wonderful. Very attentive. They ran a special since we had a student-based conference here. Very kind, especially in today's economy.

CLOSED indefinitely. Disappointing to discover this during our stay at the Hilton!

The bartenders were super friendly and helpful. I was indecisive about my drink choice and asked for a recommendation for a good tequila based drink. They whipped up a fanastic Mexican mule.

It is a small bar but cozy and clean.

720 South Bar and Grill is situated within the Hilton Chicago on South Michigan Avenue. We had breakfast here each morning during our stay at the Hilton and enjoyed the experience very much. The breakfast was buffet only but very good nonetheless. There was a nice selection of fresh fruit, mainly melon, and yoghurts available plus fresh juices. The highlight was the egg station where the excellent chef was able to rustle up eggs and omelettes to perfection (you chose the omelette content yourself from the ingredients on the adjacent shelves). I enjoyed the muffins and pastries available. Service was good with a copious supply of coffee. Cost was around $34 per head offset by $18 credit as Hilton Diamond members.
