I have been here a few times now and I highly recommend! Not only am I so happy this is the closest Filipino restaurant by my house but the food is tasty, and the owner, Kathy as well as her staff are warm and friendly. I have enjoyed the delicious Filipino dishes from the breakfast silogs, breakfast Sammy, Longoniza Scotch Egg, lumpias, to the Bistek, Mushroom Adobo, Coconut Chicken, to the Ube & Pandan cookies (super fave!), Ube doughnuts, and Ube & Pandan cold brews...
This spot came highly recommended, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. I had the lumpia and the tocino with longanisa. The lumpia was just average, and the tocino longanisa combo were a bit too salty for my taste. The rice was also on the dry side. On the bright side, my friend enjoyed his breakfast sandwich, and the service was solid.
As a Chicago native married to a Filipina, when I saw the Taste of the Philippines on social media, I knew I was taking my wife as soon as I flew back home! We drove 50 minutes to try it and it was very much worth it!

We walked in and it was such a relaxing and calm greenery all around the whole restaurant. The inside was beautiful!

For drinks were ordered the Ube Cream Cold Brew and Pandan Cold Brew. They were both strong and delicious but...
