It was an incredible experience. It was very private, intimate, and each course was something new and delicious. Highly recommend to anyone.

We had a wonderful time at Aji!! The food was delicious, and we had a great time chatting with the chefs and host! :-) Will be hard to top this meal for the rest of 2026. Thank you so much for having us!

Probably my favorite restaurant in Chicago, this Omakase experience is phenomenal from start to finish. In addition to food that is truly spectacular, the atmosphere is very welcoming, the staff are very friendly, and the service is exceptional.

It was such a fun experience! Been awhile since I had omakase so it was super nice to catch up and chill. Christian and Nick were really attentive, felt really inviting, vibrant.

One of the best dining experiences we've had. Masterful, kind, and personable chefs making a spectacular omakase in an intimate environment, and a fantastic host slinging delicious and balanced cocktails to boot! Deeply recommend

We had a fun omakase night with pretty good sushi. The tasting menu was $165 for 15 courses. There is a marquee board that changes with each course and describes each piece. There was no printed menu listing each course because they change their menu frequently. The food was good but you can see from my photos that it is a lot of similiar, simple niguri. The squid and shrimp were very chewy and not my favorites but I did enjoy the subtle ingredients (like sea salt, lime, honey) on the sea bass, salmon, blue fin that really complimented each piece. I would consider this experience very tasty but I'm not sure I would go back for the $165 price point.

My friend was visiting from out of town and we decided to try AJI for omakase. The co owner introduced each dish and the atmosphere was relaxed. Even though omakase can feel intimidating or uptight, it felt comfortable.

Most of the dishes had a hint of lemon which I’m not a fan of, but I understand it helps balance the fishiness for others. When there were a few pieces without lemon, just the fish itself, I was blown away. The fatty tuna with caviar and uni tasted like a million bucks.

The dessert was also incredible sooo rich and full of flavor. Overall, I highly recommend AJI and would definitely come back again.

The best omakase we have ever had. Christian explained every bite in detail and made the evening perfect. It was by far the best quality fish. Each bite was intricately crafted and the entire experience was beyond our expectations. If I could give it 10 stars I would ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The best restaurant I have had the pleasure of eating at. My girlfriend and I were blown away at the attention to detail and how friendly the staff were. Each bite takes you out of this universe, exploring flavours you didn't even know possible. Seating is limited creating an intimate space perfect for date nights, defintely set the bar high for date nights. Looking forward to returning for our anniversary.

My partner and I celebrated our anniversary here this past weekend, and Aji did not disappoint! Kristian, Nick, and Jarot were fabulous hosts and it was obvious they cared about their work and the guest experience. I use my left hand to eat chopsticks and all the Chefs seemingly noticed and made sure they placed the sushi in the direction that made it easy for me to pick it up. This small gesture just goes to show their impeccable attention to detail.

The drinks and food were equally fantastic. The lychee martini is the best martini I’ve had in Chicago and the sushi was fresh, light, and flavorful. My partner and I also enjoyed a nice bottle of sake that paired well with the meal. I definitely plan to go back!

The chef is very friendly and the service is good. I don't really like how much wasabi they put into sushi, it's more like American style omakase. Yuzu drink is very good though
