I love this place soo much and known about it for years. No one else can do it better. Best Hawaiian food restaurant in the city. Faithfully order lunch for work all the time. My absolute favorite! Food is fresh and tastes soo good every time. Moco Loco and Chiken Katsu plates are my go too.

As someone from O’ahu born n raised, living in the Midwest is a nightmare because I can never find food from home. Aloha eats is my savior fr. The katsu sauce broke da mout faaaaa realz, tastes just like L&L and Lilihas sauce. A lot of Hawaiian places will bread the Katsu Japanese style, but these guys bread it Hawaiian style so it stays crispier longer. They also use dark meat, which is the way to do it in the islands. Hoouuu the Mac salad is BDM cuz taste like dakine any manini plate lunch place. I like try the Portuguese sausage egg and rice cause I haven’t found Hawaiian style Portuguese sausage anywhere here yet. Cheeehu guyz 🤙🏽 much love

Everyone needs this mom and pop Hawaiian gem on their radar! It’s one of those perfect Chicago finds you stumble upon on a walk. Everything we ordered was fantastic and the homemade macaroni salad tastes like something your Granny would make! We will definitely be back and highly recommend the place!

Stopped by Aloha Eats for lunch and it was solid. I grabbed the chicken katsu with curry rice and my friend went with the BBQ pork plate—both tasty and generous portions. The space is casual, kinda cafeteria-style, and it gets busy at peak hours. Staff was friendly but service was a little slow. Overall worth it for a quick Hawaiian fix. Spent about $35 for two plates and a drink.

I got curry chicken katsu for takeout and was super impressed with the portion size. Everything tasted great and service was fast and kind :) I’ll definitely be back to try musubi and have some more chicken katsu

An absolute gem!
The food is authentic, as well as very good. Our last time here we ordered the Chicken Katsu, Moco Loco, and Pork with Cabbage (Poa).
*Chicken Katsu: this is obviously what they are known for in one of their most popular dishes. It never disappoints
*Moco Loco: for those unaware, this is kind of like Salisbury steak served over white rice with a fried egg on top. It tasted like it was straight from the island.
*Pork with Cabbage: This one is a sleeper item on the menu. The pork is so moist and has a subtle smokiness. It does not require additional sauces, but you can use the Katsu sauce. It comes shredded with the cabbage, dusted and mixed together.
*Spam Musubi: another must-have item if you’re a traditionalist. Grilled spam wrapped like a large piece of sushi lol. It’s a piece of spam over rice with a thin seaweed wrap around the middle.
Just like anywhere in Lincoln Park, parking can be a bit chaotic. You might have to circle the block once or go down a side street, but you can definitely find something.
