Spent Thanksgiving dinner here. The Caesar salad is incredible and the short rib Ravi was delicious! We split a bottle of nice Chianti. The food and the service was 10/10.

Well, we just loved it! We expected a slightly more bustling urban Italian experience, but being a bistro, we got a more home kitchen feel. The prices were a little lower than expected, but typical with a dine-in Italian experience.
But the food! We have tried lots of Italian restaurants in Chicago recently. This was a standout. They offer a delicious homemade cornbread and feta spread upon arrival. We ordered the Gorgonzola fettuccine and the linguine putaneska and they were just to die for! The Gorgonzola was creamy and not overpowering. The putaneska was savory, salty in the right way, with lots of umami. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. And the carrot cake with cream cheese icing was delicious. The food was just wonderful.
Going along with the home kitchen feel, the server was casual and friendly. Lovely and personal attention is given. Please give this place a try. It is worth it.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner at Amano after it was raved about by friends who celebrated a birthday here last week. Service was extremely attentive. We ordered my toddler’s butter & parm noodles with our drinks to avoid a hangry melt down; it arrived quickly and was immediately devoured. Lobster ravioli, short rib pappardelle, and linguine all yummy. Note the “fingerling potatoes” are more like homemade potato chips. We found the small space and design smart / charming, reminiscent of neighborhood restaurants in NYC or Europe. We’ll be back.

Go now before it's impossible to get into. Service and ambiance truly make for a special experience. The owner and our server were hard working and excellent. Bus-person, who packed our leftovers, left a final, positive impression. Between the three, you really felt like they cared about leaving a positive impression on their guests.
Really wonderful dinner experience. Our server was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable of the menu. The bolognese was some of the best I've had, if the lamb is back on the menu, that's also a complete winner. The Prickly boy was, unfortunately, very watery but the other cocktails were worth an order.

This was a very small restaurant. The only drawback from our experience was the seating location for our party. We were seated next to the server entrance for the patio seating. It was very busy for them and the door kept being left open cause cold air to hit our table.
I thought the food was very good and the plating was beautiful. The appetizers of Bruschetta were delicious!
