The Metropolitan lounge is very very nice. Very clean, quiet, has free showers for men and women separate. Hot water, clean tile showers with towels they give you. There is also free drinks, snacks, coffee machine, and plenty of places to sit.
Such a welcomed break from the crowds in Union Station. Chicago's Amtrak station is massive, with plenty of space, but this lounge is too good to pass up. Definitely head here, especially given how long some of Amtrak's layovers can be, and relax a bit.

Nice quiet area for 1st class passengers. Decent snacks and drinks. Good coffee. Pretty clean throughout. Nice to experience as a perk as a sleeping car passenger but I'd never pay for a day pass. No fresh foods, only packaged snacks.
