My mother is born in Poland and came to America when she was 30 years old. I have been coming to this store with her since I was a little girl - we live in this neighborhood. Over the weekend, I went to the grocery store without my mom - whom by the way is currently in Poland - no I don’t speak the language (to my own fault) and I would like to note that my dad is Peruvian, so I look very Hispanic.

After SEVERAL attempts of trying to communicate with the older woman at the counter, maybe in her late 60’s - I could see the frustration start to bubble in her. After being blatantly ignored after my first attempts ( she started taking the garbage out from under the counter in her gloves) - I stood my ground and waited to be served. She finally asked a woman who was younger to serve me because she was so frustrated with the language barrier. The woman spoke english and was polite. The reason for this post is that the store did not know my friend was with me, who spoke the language fluently. While they were taking my order - the older woman was complaining to the lady serving me saying “those kind of people live off of food stamps, they take advantage of everything. They are so entitled .” IN POLISH. Even if it’s not about me - who says that? How disturbing. Thinking I wouldn’t understand when I had someone to translate completely. If you are a person of color - please do not come here. As someone who is polish but has darker skin - I am so disturbed by this racist behavior. 20 + years I have been coming here - and I will not be stepping a foot inside ever again. Retrain your counter staff - customer service is the backbone of a business. Racism is NOT okay.

My new favorite store for Polish food, especially because of the quality of the meats and the very affordable prices for their deli products. The other grocery items they have are a good assortment, and they also offer ready-to-eat meals if you're hungry :)

I have been shopping at Andy’s for over 20 years. Great quality meats and food. There’s a reason people shop and work there for years. Ask them if you have any questions, they’re the pros. Don’t blindly buy things if you don’t know ;)

Good selection of stuff

It is always my favorite store for groceries. Their prices of cold cuts are a lot lower than the other Polish stores. In addition, they have their own meat processing plants.So you know , it is always fresh and good quality.

They charge you for bag tax even though I have a Link card , they don't care , the ladies at the hot buffet think that they own the place , it's like you are bothering them , they say that the soup is fresh , but was made 4 days ago
