Great neighborhood bar. Owner is a down-to-earth Chicagoan with a kind soul. Lori Limpfoot tried to jail her on Christmas one year when she tried to keep some neighbors warm and cheery. Some good food cooked up inside, lots of memories made here.
Dropped in at lunchtime on a hot day to a sparse room. An older man asked what I’d like to drink before I even sat down but he didn’t seem to be familiar with the contents of the bar, perhaps he was filling in. One can see the kitchen but no menu is proffered so I drank my beer and left to find lunch elsewhere. 5/10 for an lunchtime drop in, I’m sure the folx who frequent the place have a better experience. Dive bar vibes for a local. Oh! And they had two tvs playing different...
I love Angie’s Tavern Breakfast grill the food is good me and my spouse been here like 4 times and each time the food has been consistently great!! Not one complaint! And we are tough food critics and very picky eaters and very Particular about our food ! And the owner Angie is very sweet kind and very hospitable and care about her customers!
