Aster Hall is one of my husband and I's favorite places to visit in all of Chicago. This is a great concept but horribly run and I sampled a couple of places and. The food was bland.
I got a middle eastern salad that was almost entirely parsley and very little tomato, cucumber and onion. The lemon dressing tasted like lemon flavored water.
The fried dumplings were deeper fried, I think, because they were extremely hard! Lived all over Asia and never had a dumpling like that. Miso soup was fine tasting but cold.

Cute cozy cafe inside the building of the Bloomingdale’s store when you enter from Michigan Avenue. Hot matcha latter with some macadamia milk was absolutely delicious!!
There are many sitting options around the area. It’s great to make a stop while you are walking on the Michigan Avenue or shopping at Bloomingdale’s .
