Every morning before work I get off the "L" at the Merchandise Mart and quickly grab something at this Au Bon Pain. It's very efficient, the food is consistently good, the employees are nice. I have absolutely no complaints.
Convenient location, friendly staff most times (sometimes there's a cashier that comes off like she doesn't want to be bothered), quick service, clean environment and pretty good food (sandwiches, soups, pastries, salads, etc). They can be a little pricey depending on what you get but really good over all.
NO need to post the hours on the window - they do not adhere to them. It is supposed to be open 6 am to 6pm. I went at 5:20pm and it was CLOSED. Although I am a fan of their soup and bread, I cannot enjoy it if they are not open to purchase. Disappointed :(
