Had a terrific relaxed lunch here with friends from out of town. The dishes were shared and everyone enjoyed the new flavors to traditional Mediterranean dishes. Loved the hummus with snow peas and the delicious hanger steak appetizer. The pita was out of this world delicious!!!

Barely spoken to aside from bringing food, no inquiry about if anything was wrong. Half of two plates were almost untouched. Always happy to provide a bill with tip options. Water service was EXCELLENT.

The food was great! Unfortunately our waitress seemingly forgot about us after taking our initial order, and never came back to take our main order. Our waitress didn't even check in on us after the initial order of appetizers. We waited 35-40min after we finished our appetizers before we flagged someone down to give her a chance in case she was busy, but ultimately we had to ask another worker (not our waitress) to ask for the check. When our original waitress came by with the check, there was no acknowledgment, no words shared, not even an apology of the poor service on her behalf. I understand people can forget and become busy, but A.) The restaurant is not even large enough, and B.) there was not that many customers at the time to excuse ignoring customers. Also, at some point we looked over and our original waitress literally dancing and laughing while talking to another waitress working. The main positive is that the food was great though! Also, the food runner was friendly and he was clearing our plates and being attentive such as refilling waters and so on. Also it was so hot inside, AC seemed to not be working.

Did not like our food. Probably was just us but we ordered brunch 1) the baked French toast and 2) can't remember the name of the dish but it was focaccia with cheese in it. Both of us were underwhelmed. The focaccia literally was just focaccia with soft warm Cheese. It felt like they just threw it together- tasted very bland. You have the option of adding lox but honestly I don't think that would be helped. I ordered the red sauce from The stuffed dates to dip it in. I found myself looking around at other people's food Wishing I would've ordered something different. My husband's French toast was mushy although he ate it as well. I heard great things about this place and rarely am I the type to write a review or to not make The best of an experience, but I was so disappointed. This is an instance where I'd be very hesitant to go back. Sorry for typos- typing from my iphone.

Avec is one of my favorite restaurants all over the world, the food ever disappoints. Prawns and short rib humus are 100/100!!

We had a reservation at 4:15 and it was already packed. The food was delicious! Heavy meals so we felt sluggish later but we tend to overeat as well. Loved the orange wine! Can't wait to go back!
Must try in Chicago. If you can eat outdoors, I thought this was a nicer option as the restaurant can get quite noisy (though it is a beautiful space). Flavors were AMAZING.
