My family and I went to The Avli during lunchtime. My experience was phenomenal. The restaurant is beautiful with a great view of the park. The service was impeccable. Beena was extremely friendly, great with the kids and anticipated our needs. We will definitely be back.

We went to a wine dinner. The food and wines were delicious. They started with passed appetizers in the bar area with champagne. Then moved the group to a private room. It was very organized. When you got there, they had assigned seats and table numbers for everyone. The waiters were attentive and paraded in with each course. The owners and managers of the restaurant came to each table to make sure you were doing ok. Even the chef came and talked to us. I love Avli and so happy it is in my neighborhood.

We attended a special dinner hosted by author/TV personality Diane Kochilas at this restaurant. While it was a pleasure to meet Ms. Kochilas, the event was poorly organized, chaotic and excruciatingly long. The space where cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were served was too small, crowded and uncomfortable. We asked four different waiters for a (complimentary) glass of champagne, which never came. The food at dinner was mediocre--pumpkin soup that was too thick, tasteless and underseasoned; soggy tyropitakia kourou; and, a braised beef cheek dish that was decent but served only lukewarm. The service was painfully slow at dinner. We left when, after 3 hours, dinner service still had not been completed.

The chicken souvlaski and the lamb shank had no flavor. I typically bring my customers for lunch to Avli. Love the lunch flavors. But dinner missed the mark for my wife and I. However, I'll be back.

My guest and I arrive separately. Each of us had a terrible time finding the restaurant. It was chilly. It was raining. The vicinity seem largely deserted. 
I want to star saying I’m very disappointed about Avli because the park…and the bad customer service. Every time we want to celebrate something special Avli on the park was our go to. Sometimes the chef even went outside to say hi to the customers asking question about if they liked the food. This time I booked a reservation because it was our wedding day and I can tell I made a mistake. Nobody knew what the occasion was…nobody greeted us when we came in, the entrance from the elevator side for some reason they had containers with food all around,the host looked very lost and confuse herself. And I’m very disappointed because the last time I went to Avli on the part idk if the administration was different how knows…but it was for my birthday and it was a completely different story, they gave us two champagne cups and by the time they had a brownie with ice cream as a surprise dessert, everybody knew what we were celebrating. Not coming back again.

We went for mid afternoon lunch. They offered a delicious 3 course lunch special. Each course was delicious! Our server was very kind and friendly. I was thrilled that she said they had gluten free pita which were really surprisingly good! Atmosphere was very pretty with views of the park.
