Greek food with a beautiful rooftop terrace. Walking distance from millennium/Maggie Daley park. The tzatziki and calamari was delicious. The Greek omelet was bland and the chicken souvlaki was dry. The Avli club and the Greek fries were delicious. For a Greek restaurant the club sandwich should not be the tastiest item we had. The waitress was nice but we hardly saw her. It was like they need more waitress. They had a party downstairs maybe all the staff was downstairs.

Had an enjoyable dinner on the rooftop. Our group sampled quite a few appetizers and mezes (octopus, mussels, lamb, tsaatziki, calamari, saganaki, and Greek salad), before a good dinner. They have a good selection of Greek wines, ouzo, and some tasty cocktails. Portions aren't huge, but were filling. However, if you're a Greek food purist, beware of the Greek salad (which had few cucumbers and tomatoes) and stay aware from the spanakopita (which isn't the light flaky phyllo wrapped delight it should be, but a dough wrapped spinach hot pocket). Overall a very nice evening.

We had a really delightful dinner at Avli this weekend - the food was delicious, the rooftop patio was perfect, and most importantly our server was really, really great. This was a business dinner and in those contexts you want someone who can guide your group toward an incredible experience. Ryan was great! He was able to invite us outside of our culinary comfort zones and everything he recommended was fantastic. He picked up on what we liked throughout the dinner and by the time dessert rolled around we all were raving about the experience.

I'm giving the food 4 stars only because there were a few good but not stellar entries - the hummus and tzatziki were both just okay, which is a shame for a Greek restaurant. Our mocktails also received mixed reviews (too much basil flavor). But the desserts (especially the Caldara) were dreamy, dreamy, dreamy.

Thanks Avli and Ryan for the wonderful experience!

Amazing Greek inspired food and wonderful cocktails. Beautiful restaurant with a great rooftop patio. Nestled in a park and a five minute walk from Millennium Park. Prices are very reasonable. Service is spot on.

Great spot we were on the rooftop which evokes a Miami club and it was just beautiful. Wonderful Greek food! We will be back!

We made a reservation for outdoor seating yet when we arrived were told that they had a large party and were unable to seat us for another 30 minutes. I would call ahead to confirm availability versus reserving online.

Previously visited Avli River North and I wasn’t very happy with the food so decided to give it a try to their The Park location.
Ordered from their lunch menu: Tzatziki, Avgolemono soup and chicken bowl.
Favorite dish: Soup, it had great flavor and felt just right for cloudy Chicago day
Least favorite: Chicken bowl - think the rice can improve, it was a little under cooked. The chicken was cooked really well. The chickpeas needed more flavor and also were a little hard.
Service: sat at the bar and service was good and fast
Overall: if you work in the area this is a solid spot for lunch - i wouldn’t go out of my way to come.

Appetizers were really tasty but the entrees were bland, dry, and my lamb chops were extremely charred. Was under satisfaction at its finest

Chicken dish highlighted by the restaurant had no taste. Something that I ate, was not fitting well with my stomach got out of the restaurant feeling really bad

Food is great., and our server was helpful and attentive. One issue: the "lunch special" was delivered one course at a time with lengthy gaps in between. One person in our party ordered it. By the time she received her main course, the others at the table had FINISHED our lunch! And, the parking garage situation is horrendous. It's not enough for Avli to say "the garage changed ownership", you have to fix it somehow, or provide an alternative to your patrons. The app is complicated to download, time consuming, frustrating and distracting when you are trying meet up with your friends, to sit down for a nice (expensive) meal. The staff said this happens to people CONSTANTLY, so it wasn't just us. Not to mention -- the garage SMELLED really bad. not an appetizing way to begin a dining experience.

Avli has lovely ambiance, good food and excellent service. If only they can do something about the acoustics of the place. The main restaurant always feel noisy to me.
