We’ve been to Avli about 6 times now. We absolutely love it! The brunch menu is spot on and the cocktails are refreshing and tasty. I don’t know if they offer it all the time, but there is a lunch special where you pay a set price and get multiple courses. Sort of like a tasting menu, but you get to choose your options. It’s reasonably priced and the staff are all very attentive and kind.
Great food. The chicken gyro is OTC. River North is a heck of a lot quieter these days, and personally speaking…better off to enjoy an outdoor “al-fresco” meal. Hummus is excellent as well as the souvlaki. Great service is the topper.
Had a great experience, our amazing host, Sonia, recommended the watermelon margarita and lamb chops and both were amazing. Most significant of all was her quick response to a stranger in need of resuscitation across the street. She hopped the railing, swiftly moved through traffic, pushed through the panicked crowd and was able to resuscitate the man until the medics arrived. What an amazing person to have on staff.
