Terrible music, definitely not for African Americans who like to vibe to good music, terrible food and terrible drinks..like why even offer happy hour drinks when don't put no alcohol in them and you gotta buy a shot along with it just for it to be decent. Terrible, I wouldn't recommend going there and how on a Thursday night 1st game of the NFL season, you're not showing the game. Unacceptable for a sports bar. Most people don't watch or care about baseball bro.

Called ahead for a reservation. 13 people Friday. Tough. Called said we did not have to be at one table. They said yes. Got there. They couldn’t get it figured out. Left. The hostess station had too many people and no one was happy or could make a decision. Never again

Went to this bar with a couple friends around 8pm on Monday from out of town, the place was almost empty. The bouncer was being very rude about my ID (I am transgender, my ID says female but I pass as male). My group and I were still being cooperative and respectful. He questioned me about all the info on my ID , then he asked me to turn around and starts frisking me without telling me he was going to do so. After all that I got the go ahead to have a seat, but we didn't stick around. Why would we? I have never felt so violated and humiliated in public, and I can't help but to feel it was targeted. Stay away from here, not a safe place :(

The food was fantastic. The fried pickles are thin and crisp chips, and the jalapeño ranch has a lot of good flavor and spice. Both the flatbreads we ordered were also very good. The bacon hot honey one though has cranberries on it without listing cranberries as an ingredient on the menu.

Service was lackluster at best. They weren't super busy, but our drinks that we ordered with our appetizer didn't come out until after our MAIN COURSE. Literally, it took 45 minutes to make 2 drinks. Music was also so loud I could barely talk to my partner, but its in a college town so they get a pass for that.

Me and my friend came during brunch hours. The only downfall was our mimosa. We ordered the pitcher, but they ran out of the pitcher; so the alternative was a full glass of OJ and the bottle of champagne. We had to mix our own drink. It would have been nice if the juice cld have been in a glass that had a spout or something. Because of the mouth of the glass, our juice would spill when pouring it into our wine glass. It would have been nice if we were offered a discount, but it's all good. I just don't think I will do brunch hrs again.

I’ve been a loyal customer for over 7 years, and I’ve never had such a terrible experience at Bar Louie Carmel INDIANA - until now. It’s honestly disappointing to see how poorly the new staff is running things.

We recently received an official email from Bar Louie stating that the location closes at 1:00 am and that the kitchen remains open until the end of the shift. Based on that, we arrived with plenty of time and tried to order food at 12:28am. To our surprise, the bartender told us that the kitchen didn’t want to take any more orders because they were upset about receiving a food ticket at 12:30 am.

When we pointed out that it was only 12:28 and showed her the email confirming that the kitchen stays open until 1:00 am, she dismissively said that the email “wasn’t for this Bar Louie, only for other locations.” Seriously? So you’re sending misleading information to your customers, or is your staff just ignoring company policy?

In all my years coming here, I’ve never seen such disorganization and lack of professionalism. The service was rude, confused, and completely out of line.

To be clear: I will come back, because I know this location and what it used to stand for. The staff doesn’t define the entire place—but the attitude and behavior of the new team is absolutely unacceptable and a major disappointment. I truly hope Bar Louie takes a hard look at who they’re hiring and how that’s affecting loyal customers.
