Granny Smith apple and brie panini and chicken paillard are yum, yum yum! Service is friendly and unrushed. Ambiance is very pleasant particularly because tables are well spaced apart and because acoustics are such that you can speak in a normal conversational tone with whom you are dining. Very favorite lunch spot!

Cynthia was an attentive server and gracious. Had a wonderful time in every way with an old friend I had not seen in a long time. Grateful for a calm and beautiful spot to catch up.

Impeccable service. However, my meal was not good. I have dined here multiple times, and neither one of my selections was tasty. The spinach dip was extremely stringy and barely edible, and the short rib pasta was gummy and flavorless - one star ! The service of our waiter is what saved the entire experience!!! Hopefully, this was an isolated event.

Crab cakes were over seasoned with salt. Dipping sauce tasted like a coating for deep fried fish. The beet salad was shredded beads, very little goat cheese and arugula. Not a luncheon salad. Very disappointing.

Gracious ambiance and service. Particularly like that you talk in normal conversational tone with fellow diners. Food is very well prepared. My favorite is the Chicken Paillard and, of course, the cup of broth and popovers. My most favorite place to lunch with friends. Never disappointed.

We love their popovers and small soup that comes with every meal and is one of the reasons we eat lunch here as often as we do. We love the quiet upscale atmosphere and some of the unique food choices. The table service is pretty good and unfortunately excellent in 2024. It is a regular lunch stop for us when in Chicago and should be for others as well.

I met a friend at Mariposa whom I had not seen in a long tine. I also had not been to this restaurant in many years. It had not changed much. The popovers are still delish, along with the mini-cup of chicken broth. The menu was not exciting and the service was quite slow. They could change things up just a tad....

This is a hidden gem inside Neiman Marcus (4th floor). Perfect place to enjoy a relaxing and wonderful lunch in a beautiful setting with a view. Been coming here for years and it never disappoints. We're never rushed, the atmosphere is refined and vibrant - yet quiet (no loud blaring music). Really great service and delicious food (salmon nicoise, wild grains, chicken pillard, pistachio ricotta cake - we shared all) too. As always, the complimentary warm popovers with strawberry butter and chicken consume were a delicious start to the meal. They gave complimentary dark chocolates to end the meal too...wonderful! Will continue to return when I have time for nice long relaxing lunches!

Dining at Neiman's over the years spoiled us. It used to be wonderful. I remember their great epicure area and third floor cafe. Very disappointing now whenever we return. In our opinion, the restaurant needs a new chef & menu.

Great place to dine. Lovely ambiance. Tables well spaced apart. Not a noisy restaurant. Easy to talk with fellow diners in normal conversational tone. Service is attentive but not rushed. Chicken paillard was really, really good. The traditional “Welcome” popovers and broth are always a welcome treat.

Excellent food, service and ambiance. Prices are comparable with other Mag Mile restaurants, but this is an elegant place with delicious free popovers and consume! Definitely would recommend.

This is a wonderful lunch option if you're looking for a quiet, elegant experience. The food is good, service is excellent. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a nice place to have a discussion with friends.

Very comfortable as tables are well spaced apart. Great acoustics...can use normal conversation level to speak with fellow diners. Chicken Paillard is excellent as is the carrot cake. Grilled peach and goat cheese salad also very good. Service is excellent and not rushed. Popovers were light and delicious as they usually are. Favorite lunch spot.

The staff were so kind and attentive to my grandmother on her 82nd birthday. She was delighted to have returned to a place she took me for lunch as a child on many occasions. There is a lot of value in service and Mariposa delivered.

Mariposa may be a new downtown favorite for the early afternoon. It's tucked away on the fourth floor of NM and they validate parking for a nearby garage. The food is great, plenty of varied options, and very attentive staff. I will definitely be back.
