I challenge you to find a better neighborhood sports bar in Chicago. Always have Chicago sports on WITH sound, which is rare at a bar for some reason. Really great tap list that’s always rotating. The owners are great. Very personable and welcoming. Must check it out if you’re in the area, or not! Stop by!!!

Barrelman Tavern’s my go‑to hangout in Edgewater. Spent around $40 last Saturday on a 12oz Kolsch and a hearty milk‑stout pour—plus a neat pour of bourbon. Love that they rotate the taps (grabbed a solid Cookie Bird IPA) and the bartenders are real talkers. Brought my pup, watched the Sox game, cozy wood‑paneled spot. BYOF & no kitchen but DoorDash hits fine. Solid vibes, great booze—straight fire.

Barrelman’s a solid neighborhood bar—good whiskey list, plenty of local beer on tap, and solid vibes overall. Had a Weller pour and a Revolution Anti-Hero, spent about $30. Bartender was friendly but service was a little slow when it got busy. Still, comfy spot to watch a game without the usual Lincoln Park bro energy. Not perfect, but def a go-to when you want a chill night out.

The owner made me and my friends feel very uncomfortable. He was noticeable drunk and kept putting his hand around me. I will not be coming back here and do not recommend.
