We enjoyed our visit this week to Barrios. Delicious food options and very hefty portions. The pico was so fresh that came with the chips and salsa. We just wish there had been more!! Yum!! Our server was awesome and very attentive. Our food was ready in no time and we can’t wait to visit again in the future!

As everyone has stated the service sucks. Took forever for drinks and even longer for food. Also 3 people out of our party had headaches and upset stomachs. A bit expensive for the size portions. Despite the not so great experience, I did enjoy the pork belly tacos.

I ordered a takeaway order and I had to wait 70 minutes, although I was warned that the order would be ready in 30 minutes, secondly, during this time no one was interested in me, and after 30 minutes the restaurant only said 5 minutes and five minutes each time, because I only ordered 2 hot dish items, I had a negative experience and will not order here again. By the way, I was standing on my feet the whole time, and no one even offered to sit down

Update: I decided to venture in after a while to give Barrio another chance. Unfortunately, they continue to spiral downward (as evidenced by the empty restaurant on "taco Tuesday"). I can't comment if the food is still good, but I can comment that they are a scam. They advertise "Taco Tuesday," but exclude nearly half the taco options from the promotion. Such deception is unacceptable and forced us to walk out. (See attached photo that does not specify any exceptions). For that reason, this restaurant dives to 1 star.
Delicious food. They still charge a 3% fee, which is not appreciated. They do take it off if you ask, but it shouldn't be there to begin with.
Right when you walk in the space, hosts and managers all very attentive. Brandon was perfect during service - great energy, great recommendations, great timing on coursing out our meals. Every dish we had was plated beautifully and tasted great…but Brandon is why we’ll be back for sure.

Katarina is awesome 😎
Great food as well and lovely atmosphere
Charges for Guac per person. No just chips. Will not split the check per person. The bucket of beer was only 5 beers for a table of 7. Not fun time left experience.

Went with my husband for Valentine's Day and loved it! Everything from the chips and salsa to churros we had for dessert. We showed up 10mins before they opened and they were sooo kind to seat us because it was 10° outside, wr had to wait a while for service to begin which was 10000% fine we were just happy we didn't have to wait in the cold. The atmosphere is amazing and super cute for a date night. I had the Carne Asada dinner 10/10 and my husband (who is vegetarian) had a cheese enchilada dinner 8/10. We would definitely revisit again.

AWESOME! I used to come here when in Chicago twice a year. The menu was fantastic. Came back this year and the menu had changed. I was worried. The waitress told me they no longer had some of my favorite menu items. She took our drink order and in a few minutes came back with my favorite item that used to be on the menu. I was shocked and so happy! All the food was great and they service was wonderful. The manager came by twice and checked on us. I will always come to Bario when I am in town.

Barrio is legit for creative Mexican food and good vibes. I had the short rib tacos, and wow, they were fire – tender, flavorful, and the perfect bite. Also, had to try the guac, which was fresh and creamy, plus a side of chips that were crispy and warm. The tequila selection is massive – I went with a flight, and each one was smoother than the last. Spent about $45 for the tacos, guac, and tequila, which felt like a steal for the quality. The rustic-industrial decor is perfect for a night out with friends or a date. Definitely coming back for more of those tacos and cocktails!

Had a fantastic Valentine’s Day meal here with my family. I personally liked everything from the chicken empanadas and Mexican cornbread to my chicken and steak fajitas. Desserts were oh so good too. Margaritas were freshly made and when I asked to make it skinny it was actually skinny with notably less sugar. Bravo. Service was outstanding, and atmosphere was loud enough to bring energy but not overpowering where we couldn’t hear ourselves talk. Highly recommend this place ! Oh also forsure get the table side guac. They let you taste it before they’re done and you can doctor it up how you like. It. Is. FIRE 🔥
