Cool spot with a solid latte
Great coffee. We did have a situation in which the person who made the iced drink was talking to other staff and not paying attention, so we ended up with one cup filled to the brim with liquid and no foam... and the other only 1/3 filled and all foam... We had to manually open both and even them out... Not exactly the ideal experience - and very obvious when one cup weights twice the amount of the other.

Caffe Umbria is a cozy coffee shop in Chicago that offers amazing coffee and bakery items. They have traditional Italian coffee, with lattes like the delicious Honey Oatmilk Latte being a favorite. The cafe has limited seating inside but also offers dimly lit seating in the lobby and lovely patio seating outside. It is a solid, good coffee place intended as a grab and go, with very rich espresso and wonderful croissants. The casual ambiance and European-style alley seating make for a unique experience. Customers appreciate the helpful and considerate baristas. Service is quick, but customers must pick up their order at the counter.
Customers have recently shared their experiences. One customer ordered a shaken espresso, which was good but came without any default creamer or syrup, and they had to add their own milk. Another customer tried the iced honey oat latte, which was good but not quite sweet enough for their preference. The third customer had the Caffè al Peppe, which was described as milky, with foam similar to a latte, a hint of spice, and a nice touch of espresso bitterness, a unique drink. Their boyfriend had a caramel latte, which was also great, even though it was not on the menu.
