Hard to give a rating as it took me almost 20 minutes to know I wasn’t going to get my food. I ordered a taco. The server said they were backed up but there were maybe 20 people there. Severely disappointed here. I do not recommend the restaurant.

We ordered a bowl with chicken and tuna — absolutely delicious! 🤤 The cucumber salad turned out to be quite spicy, but there was a note about it on the menu; I just didn’t pay attention. Overall, a very positive experience.

My family and I went there, they had plenty of tables available and they told us they had nothing available. A white family came after us and they sat them right away. The demeanor of the host was more than racist and rude. We only went because someone recommended the place. I made sure to let my family and friends not to go.
We had an incredible experience at Bartaco in Chicago. Our server went over and above - just the kindest person. We had our 3 year old son as well as four other kids from 4-12 with us. She was so patient and gave all the kids frisbees (if you order the “kids tray” you get one no matter what). She also let our son take the coloring book and crayons he was given at the beginning of our meal. The kids cup is also one you take with you when you leave. And on top of that, the hostess gave all the kids sunglasses on their way out. We’ve never had a better experience with kids at a restaurant!
AND the food and drinks were absolutely delicious. Quality ingredients, quality food. I can’t say enough GOOD about this place!

Had to stop and take a picture when this came out at Bartaco—it just looked too good. The crispy rice cake was golden and crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and topped with perfectly seared slices of tuna drizzled in a sweet-savory glaze. The sesame seeds and fresh pickled cucumbers gave it a nice little crunch and tang that balanced everything out.
On the side, the kale Caesar was way better than I expected—super fresh greens coated in a creamy, garlicky dressing, with just the right amount of Parmesan and crouton crumbles. It was hearty but still light enough to pair perfectly with the tuna dish.

The patio here is awesome, the glazed pork belly tacos and Baja fish tacos are amazing, and the salsas taste so fresh! The margaritas were also pretty good, and the vibes are great. I’m glad we have a new taco spot in the neighborhood!
