We were initially drawn to this place by its promising vibe, but it turned out to be a major letdown. How can an Italian restaurant, supposedly authentic, not offer carbonara? The pasta dishes were either dry or lacking flavor, and the lasagna, usually a good indicator of quality, used low-grade cheese.
The salmon bruschetta did NOT have tomatoes!!! The service was mediocre, and to top it off, they charged $2 per bottle per person for BYOB. It’s not worth the drive for such a disappointing experience. We left feeling very underwhelmed and won't be back.

The food is EXCELLENT! Very authentic Italian cuisine. Truly a hidden gem. Homemade pasta dishes remind me of mama’s Sunday family dinners. I will be returning many times in the future.

Nestled in an unexpected location, this charming Italian restaurant is a true hidden gem. While the exterior may not boast grandeur, step inside, and you'll find yourself immersed in the warm ambiance of a true Italian trattoria.
The menu offers classic Italian fare, but what sets this restaurant apart is its commitment to using only the freshest ingredients. Each dish is crafted with care and attention to detail, resulting in flavors that transport you straight to the streets of Italy.
During a recent visit with two dinner guests, we were delighted to find that our diverse meal choices all exceeded expectations. From hearty pasta dishes to delicate seafood entrees, every bite was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication.
In conclusion, this hidden gem of an Italian restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere.

This place needs some work. We walked in around 6pm and there was no one in the place. That should've been our first sign. Our waiter was friendly but was not given tools to succeed. He seemed to be the only one working and couldn't figure out if our credit card payment went through so he asked us to check our banking app. That's the first time I've ever been asked that at a restaurant. Ticket times were extremely long considering there weren't more than a handful of people dining. Bruschetta came out scorched and basically inedible, chicken parm was tough and tasted like it was made yesterday. The pasta was good and fresh though.

Parking: Small free parking lot

Kid-friendliness: Wouldn't recommend for kids

This place has amazing food. And it's BYO. Go in knowing they seem to be constantly under staffed and your meal will take 2 hrs. Pretend you are actually in Italy.

Sadly disappointing.
Nice slow service....similar to being in italy!!! Unfortunately so slow that when food finally came they brought the first persons dish, literally 5 minutes later my dish....another 5 plus for our 3rd persons dinner and then finally 7 minutes later my wifes dish. At least she had a hot dinner.
Food lacked any real flavor, pasta was OK...and that's unfortunate...starch over powers food.
Appetizers took 20 minutes for the Mista, consisting of 2 squid and 2 shrimp for 20 bucks....lol
10 minutes later 4 meatballs that are not worth describing if you ever had one from costco.....and a 29 minute wait for our dinner....as I already described that above. They asked if we wanted desert and it was almost 10pm.....after over 2 and a half hours, we were done or just afraid what might show up if we ordered..
Alot of hype, long talking tradition, but we really miss Caponies on Harlem.
Also, maybe at the prices they charge you can have the waiter in something other than white undershirt.....really bad show.
Oh yeah.....they hit us for a $10 corking fee per bottle!!!! A 3.5% additional fee to use a credit card....i was check to see if there was an additionaldining fee to be added.....these are the costs of doing business.... who does this? I know alot if places do....but should be noted and included in any honest review.
2 stars. Get your act together and deliver the level, quality and service that you boast for a price that befits the location and longevity.

Nice restaurant, good food only one young boy working to take your order and bring your food on full restaurant . To get our food we wait over 1 hour about 15 minutes till he come and bring us water and ask what we want to order . This is our 2nd time here and maybe last just because of the service.

The food was great, but Sal’s hospitality was even better!! He gave great recommendations, and the staff was truly accommodating throughout the entire evening. An absolutely wonderful experience! It’s also BYOB, so if you have some Italian whites or reds to uncork it’s the perfect place!! Thank you Sal!
