First of all, the service is excellent. Our server was helpful, and pleasant, always showing up at the proper time. I thought the atmosphere on the lower level was a little too dark for my taste but it didn't detract from the service or the food. Dine upstairs if you prefer more lighting but it's also dim. Now the food. The salads were amazing. Our table had the lyonnaise and the wedge salads. Both were excellent. The ribeye steak, fried chicken, steak frites, all wonderful and recommended. One of our party ordered the salmon which is cooked medium. He said he should have ordered it well done but that is more his preference. Our server asked if it was OK and he said yes so no reflection on the quality of the dish. The creamed spinach is good but very rich. The mashed potatoes were amazing. I will definitely return just to try more dishes. Sorry no pictures. Drinks were amazing as well. Oh, forgot to mention large portions on everything.

I booked seats 3 weeks in advance because I heard this was the best steakhouse in Chicago. It definitely lived up to my high expectations!Ordered a lot of food for 3 men + 1 woman. We got the bone-in ribeye steak, 3 steaks were enough for 4 people. The steak was already nicely sliced before being served, and was cooked perfectly. Other than the phenomenal steak, I also loved many of the sides and desserts, including the mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, and hot fudge sundae royale. The sundae had so many toppings, so it was perfect for sharing around the table. The wine they recommended went well with the steak. Overall, this was one of the best meals I had during my 4 months' stay in Chicago!

A great, intimate steakhouse with amazing food and great service. I came hungry and was not disappointed. I ordered a steak with some bone marrow to compliment and the two large bones came on top and were a great addition. The house sea salt and bearnaise sauce were also flavorful and paired well. I also got a side of the truffle Mac and cheese. It has been a long time since I ate all my food so slowly from enjoying it as much as I did. I made a mistake ordering the strawberries and cream as it ended up being too much for me to be able to finish but it was an amazing dessert with an even better presentation!The wait staff was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a great meal and really want to treat yourself!Vegetarian options: Fair number of great vegetarian options on the menu, especially for a steak house

Truly one of the best Chicago has to offer. Some of the best steak I've had with impeccable accompaniments in the mashed potato and Mac and cheese. Chocolate pie was alright, not as hype as I was led to believe. Only problem is the insane wait just to get even a bar seat. Wish the bartenders would encourage those who finish and just sit there for hours to move on a bit faster.

Phenomenal meal, and service. Sat at the bar late on a Wednesday, 10:15pm. The sourdough bread is the best I’ve ever tasted in my life. The Cobb Salad was insane. Lardons warm against a cool, crisp dressing and lettuce. Honestly, I’ve had a lot of meals in Chicago and nothing had been as good as this experience.

One of the best dining experiences one could possibly have. Very dim, laid back, beautiful atmosphere. The service was great. Steak was the top three steaks I've ever eaten in my life. Every bite was like butter. Sides were delicious as well! It's definitely a place to experience if you're into fine dining and STEAKS!!!
