When it comes to looking for a burger in Chicago, there are no shortages of options. But if you want one with a long history and character, then Billy Goat Tavern is the place to go. Thanks to its connection with the old Saturday Night Live skit, the place is an institution. It’s no-frills, but that’s a big part of its charm! The menu is fairly short focusing on the essentials: cheeseburgers, chips, and drinks. My cheeseburger came out fast. The aviance was great and the bartender entertained us all. If you are looking to park nearby, there are some paid lots you can use. We walked over there from our hotel.

This is a world famous authentic hamburger place in the basement at Hubbard Street. The location is the best although you have to go down a few stairs from ground level Michigan Avenue. The atmosphere is fantastic, friendly, great "cheezborger!" and beer. The service is incredibly fast, almost no waiting time. Very cheap, great food, great place, great value.
