Miserable owners putting small businesses out of business half way across the country because the name of another bar that’s been a community staple for decades had a similar name. Hope you all get what’s coming to you.
It’s part of history and the burgers were simple but good!
My brother an I were there early this last Saturday morning just after you opened. Our bartender was fantastic and very friendly. I asked his name but i cannot remember it. Heck of a nice guy and treated us well. We used to come here a long time ago as we grew up in the Chicago area. I had two breakfast beers and a double cheezeborger and it was great and just like i remembered! It is always great to come home and stopping by here just makes it that much better! Keep up the good work and thanks to the great bartender! 👍
The burgers are small and taste cheap and have no flavor. You have to add your own toppings which also I did not like. First and last time eating here.

Been to almost every location. The newest location in Wrigleyville has some great drink specials. The burgers are always fantastic. 🍺🍔
Awful ownership. Taking away other people’s livelihood in a small town halfway across the country because the name of the bar was kinda similar. Do better.
Put a little saloon in Colorado out of business taking away jobs and a woman's livelihood. Taverns, bars, saloons, etc. are about bringing people together, forming friendships, leaving ones troubles at the doorstep. This establishment did just the opposite and destroyed lives. Hope karma finds you sooner than later.
Awful business owners decided to sue a woman owned business 1400 miles away in Colorado that’s been open since 1982 for copyright infringement.
This place also sucks.
Food is not all that tasty

Everyone knows about the “cheezeborger” but I was pleasantly surprised by their breakfast choices. Two eggs, two slices of toast, choice of meat (the salami, which to me is more like good bologna, is DELICIOUS) and hash browns…all made within minutes for just $8.99! It’s like a good diner breakfast but at the Merchandise Mart.

We went on a quiet holiday weekday during lunchtime, and needed a spot that the entire family could agree on. We were pleased that Billy Goat Tavern was open, and wasn't overly busy. The food was above average, the prices were reasonable, and the service was decent (some staff were very friendly, others not so much). We liked that you could get a choice of toppings on the sandwiches, and everything had good flavor. Not the healthiest of meals, but you'd expect that going in.

Ate here a couple times before but won't be coming back due to food cross-contamination and food poisoning risk. I saw a cook today handle raw beef patties and then pack customers' cooked sandwiches without changing gloves or cleaning their hands. I ended up nuking my order in the oven for good measure, hopefully won't have to deal with salmonella or any bugs

the food will do when there aren't too many other choices. I got a double cheeseburger once and both patties were red inside. The patties aren't but 1/8" thick so how can they be red inside. The cashier is the worst part, has no customer service skills. Ring your food up then walk away and sit down, leave every thing up to you to finish the transaction. She's more like we need a cashier, ask your sister if she's available with no skills.
Vegetarian options: not much more to say about it
Wheelchair accessibility: easy to manuver place your order

Excellent cheezborgers, friendly, and all the interesting history on the walls of the original. Can be difficult to find if it’s your first time, but we’ll worth it!
