Be advised, the kitchen closes around 10pm but that’s not listed anywhere on the menu.

Despite listing unusual ingredients, and with a wide range of exotic spirits clearly visible on the shelves of this subdued wood paneled venue, the cocktails themselves do not meaningfully showcase the ingredients they advertise.

If you want a place that looks cool, this fits the bill. If you actually care about the quality of a cocktail, I strongly recommend taking your date elsewhere.

Nice trendy bar, with unique handcrafted drinks. Server was friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks and had great recommendations. Can get quite busy during the weekends.

Craft cocktails here are delightful. Sometimes they are a bit spirit forward, but if that’s your jam you’ve come to the right spot

We had really high expectations for this place, however when we were greeted, we felt judged and uncomfortable. The host/server did not make us feel welcome and made it seem as though it was an inconvenience to accommodate our 7 person party when it is mostly empty inside.

My cocktail was good. The main issue is that they allow solicitors inside the bar that will approach you.

When I go out, I'm looking for a safe space where I am treated with respect... But most importantly I love a silly little drink. It's always felt like the people who work here really appreciate the craft of creating drinks that offer a complex and enjoyable tasting experience.

The menu is full of bangers and the bar is stocked with unique spirits that really allow you to go on a journey, discovering new flavor profiles. I tried Malort bitters and didn't hate it!

I appreciate the gluten free options that they have on the menu but would love it if they had some gluten free breads from local bakeries. The potato cabins and the cheese platter are great compliments to the drinks.

I would 100% say that this is my favorite non-gay cocktail lounge in Chicago. It's great for first dates and meeting with old friends. I've become comfortable enough there that I can go alone and just vibe and do crossword puzzles. The staff is so nice and they deserve all your money so be prepared to tip them what they deserve.

I get excited when they announce new cocktails on Instagram.

Best cocktails in Chicago… and I’ve seen a lot of cocktails. Just wish they brought the brown butter vodka back ie “permanently closed”

This place became my favorite bar in Chicago in a single visit and every subsequent visit has further cemented this view. So many delightful inventive cocktails and an incredibly nice staff that is genuinely excited to help you discover the menu and even go off it. In just my 3 last visits, they've offered me a shot on NYE despite it being past last call, made me a drink from their previous menu when I mentioned missing it and taken me on an impromptu tasting tour to help understand rums.

Also the only bar I'm aware of that has a daily happy hour at a reasonable hour with multiple options actually offering a deal. We are so incredibly lucky to have this gem of a bar.

I walked by during an early afternoon Thursday and noticed a ‘Book Reading Party’ sign and this young gentleman (killing me I can’t remember his name) noticed my interest and offered additional information. I thanked him and was ready to come back later that day with my book. I came back and that same gentleman welcomed me to Billy Sunday, took me to the back, where there we’re already a few people reading their book in this romantically perfectly dim lighting, impeccable for reading. The music was subtle. I ordered my Mezcal Old Fashioned (Delicious!), made an acquaintance, and met a popular local artist who mailed me my own shirt because he didn’t have my size handy, wow! When it was time to pay, they didn’t accept Apple Pay and I didn’t have any of my physical cards with me. Ugh. I thanked them for ‘on the house’ drink and vowed to come back. It’s been awhile(since August), so I’m planning to come back this evening, in hopes it’s Reading Party tonight because the weather is perfect for it and have been dying to repay the generosity and warm welcome.
