As a Mexican who knows how these tacos should taste I have to say that this is the worst tasting birreria I have been to. Either extremely salty food or very bland flavors. I wouldn’t recommend coming here to satisfy your birria cravings.

Was so excited to try their birria goat tacos and consomé but everything was incredibly bland. Did not seem like the traditional birria. Tortillas were either undercooked or burned. Was also overcharged by more than $5. Would recommend going somewhere nicer with more ambiance for $20/person.

Ignore the hateful and rude comments, my dad and I have been coming here since I was 13 years old and my dad has been more than me the birria here is delicious ? and amazing cooked, and of course inflation has affected everyone and if for those complaining about the prices everything isn’t cheap anymore… and it’s a family owned business yall have to understand that.. too as well. I will definitely continue coming here thanks Reyes de Ocotlan.

The truth is that I didn't like it. At first, the meat was pure leather without flavor. Secondly, the waitress is the one who puts the onion and cilantro on the plates. The onion was put with a spoon, but she grabbed the cilantro with her hand. That's not hygienic. since she is grabbing the dirty napkins from the table that the customers are leaving dirty where they wipe snot saliva residue from the food she is grabbing the tip bills from the tables and so she came to grab the cilantro to put on our plates?? ???????????????????the ideal is to put it with tongs and let people be the ones to put their onion and cilantro to their liking, they are put on small plates and on the table, the truth is no. more because I was very hungryBut I didn't like the waitress, not at all friendly, quiet, no good afternoon, no permission, no benefit, no nothing, and not a basket of chips or anything, so it's just fine, they say, if you see, it's only for a reason. I hope they improve that very serious mistake of the waitresses not putting their hands in it.

Take this place for what it is. An old school cash only joint with good Birria. My family used to come in for takeout when I was a kid and still tastes better than other spots around… that salsa will bring you back to life. Prices may have gone up a bit, but nothing these days is cheap, especially in Pilsen.
