The food was outstanding, the server was incredible. We had a party of 10 and she got everyone's order correct, even though she may have been interrupted while taking orders. She was very accommodating, pleasant and made every effort to ensure everyone's needs were met. We had several vegans and vegetarians in the group and everyone was pleased with the taste and presentation of the food. The food and beverages were a little slow coming out, but everything else was great. We'll go again!

I ordered the thanksgiving special dinner to go and the food was excellent! I will go back and reorder the chickpea piccata again!

My wife had the tasting menu withe wine pairing and she was ecstatic! I had the Spanish Artichokes, very tasty but the best course of the day was my main the Crispy Oyster Mushrooms... one of the best vegan dishes I have ever tasted!

The food was next level! A flavor bomb in every bite! Really some of the best food (vegan or not) that I’ve ever had. We went on a Tuesday and took advantage of their special 2 appetizers 2 entrees and a dessert for 2 people for $75. My husband and I were more than satisfied! Luis did a phenomenal job with our drinks and steering us toward the right dishes! We’ll definitely be back!!

Bloom is one of our go to favorites for Vegan cuisine. The wine list is small but well curated. Cocktails are original and delicious. Happy hour is worth coming early. The menu remains limited but quality is consistent and high. Non-vegans will be more than happy with the flavors and variety. The boho interior belies a very comfortable environment whose noise level is mostly set by the music, which the staff is more than happy to modify to your comfort. Portions are modest, so only 4 stars for value.

Terrific food and service! I love the creativity they use with the vegetarian meals. I had a friend in town and we decided to order a variety and just share. Highly recommend everyone do this so that you can properly sample as many of the choices as possible.

I absolutely loved my experience at Bloom! I came for a birthday celebration and the staff gave me a handwritten card ! Our server (I believe their name was Morgan) was incredibly kind and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and the vegan steak was mouthwatering! I was the only vegan amongst my group but everyone absolutely loved the food. The vibe is super chic and trendy without being overbearing. I am definitely coming back and recommending to others!

Great food but heads up they add a service charge that doesn't include tip. For the tasting menu for 2 we ended up paying abt an extra $75.

The service, food presentations, flavor and ambiance were outstanding. Amazingly good food! Price maybe a bit on the high side but well worth it.

I went to Bloom fully expecting to rate it 5 stars. From the appearance, it seems easily to be a 5 star place. Ordered the set menu. However, 1 star had to be deducted because everything I ordered ended up being deep fried. The menu didn’t indicate the things were fried, so there wasn’t a lot of transparency. I can handle 1 or 2 fried items especially if it’s clear that’s what I’m ordering. However the last straw was the sweet potato gnocchi. The gnocchis themselves were deep fat fried. That’s not normal for gnocchi. It was good, so nothing against it. But why can’t the menu list it as “fried gnocchi” so people would know what to expect? This place also has a 20% mandatory tip which is not disclosed ahead of time. That’s the problem, you have to say on the menu that the tip is 20% so people know that when deciding to order. And then they ask you if you want to leave more.

First, I would like to state that this was my birthday dinner. I chose this place due to it being a Bib Gourmand restaurant. They presented me with the Ube Panna Cotta (gratis) which was delightful and tasty and not too sweet. Very grateful for this. My husband decided upon the green curry dish but really wanted rice instead of the noodles. Asked the chef it this was possible and they said it wasn't. Very disappointed with this. I requested the salmon instead and that was awful. It tasted as if it were made with coconut flour. Very grainy and not palatable at all. We were very surprised because every dish we ordered was very tasty and satisfying. I think the worse part of the evening was after we entered the restaurant. Since it is getting chilly out, my husband is quite particular about where he sits. I asked the hostess if we could sit at a table by the door because I don't care to be crowded. We sat at the table but my husband wanted to move to the table at the very back. We only sat at the first table for all of 20 seconds. Didn't touch any silverware or dishes. The hostess was very annoyed by this and allowed her face to visibly show such. We moved to back and sat down. She walked over and made a performance in asking, "Is this okay?" The food was a great but I don't think we will return.

Having never been to a vegan restaurant, I was unsure what to expect. However, that concern was unfounded. We tried three starters in our group and each one was great. We then shared a flatbread, and the sweet potato gnocchi. Both were well prepared and very flavorful. The wine selection is also quite good.

We came here for brunch and the food was pretty good overall. The highlight was definitely the nachos with scrambled tofu — super flavorful and satisfying! The rest of the dishes were decent, though nothing mind-blowing. The area around the restaurant has lots of cute little shops and boutiques, which makes it a great spot to grab brunch and then stroll around after. A solid choice if you’re looking for a relaxed vegan spot in Chicago. Updated from previous review on 2025-10-18
