I went there with a bunch of meat eaters. They were all impressed. It’s mostly tapas style and portions are on the smaller side. That’s fine, as long as you are aware. Good creativity.
One of Chicago’s best. For a special treat, try the 6-course chef’s tasting menu: besitos de yuca, turnip causa, oysters, scallops, gnocchi, and ube cheesecake & chocolate fondant for dessert. The scallops is only available through the tasting. The single best bite was the causa. What a flavor bomb! 🤯
Tell me why youre getting rid of all the gluten free options? SO disappointing.
The quality/taste of the food suddenly dropped last year. The dishes dont make sense like they used to. It just doesn't taste good anymore. All of that mixed with getting rid of so many gluten free options has me not wanting to go back again. Which is sad because its been my favorite date night spot for years.
Great place for allergies. We were able to safely eat gluten free and dairy free. Brunch was great! Staff were great with making my daughter feel special on her birthday!!
We love Bloom!! Consistently one of the best meals I have had in Chicago. Great for a special occasion. They always carefully course the meal and are so friendly and attentive! It’s hard to find vegan food that surprises you like it does here. The turnip Causa & Ube cheesecake were our standouts but every part of the meal was something to cherish (:
We had an overnight layover in Chicago and decided to come here. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!!! The restaurant decor was a vibe and Zoe our server was phenomenal. She had a very detailed knowledge of the menu and gave great suggestions as we worked through our courses and drinks. We will definitely visit again!
Easily one of the best meals I have enjoyed in a long time.
Service was excellent - our server was able to make recommendations and guide us through the menu. They were present and helpful but never intrusive. Our food was very well paced. We ordered four dishes to share and they were brought out promptly, one at a time . Absolute standout dish was the Turnip Causa. I will be dreaming about this dish ! We also loved the Oysters and the risotto. Plating and presentation were beautiful. I would recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or in fact for any occasion!
Absolutely delicious brunch and incredible service! Highly recommend La Rolla and the Churro Waffles. Everything was amazing and the atmosphere is adorable!

A wonderful evening at Bloom
We had such a lovely dinner at Bloom — my husband, our son, and I all really enjoyed it. The food was thoughtful, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Even my son, who isn’t a vegetarian, kept saying how much he loved everything.
We were also celebrating my husband’s birthday, and the team at Bloom made it feel so special. They surprised him with a handwritten card and a beautiful dessert — such a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot to us.
What really made the evening stand out was our server, Zoey. She was warm, attentive, and clearly knew the menu inside and out. She gave us great recommendations, and thanks to her we tried the turnip causa — something we probably wouldn’t have picked on our own. It ended up being our favorite dish of the night.
The whole meal felt relaxed and special. We never felt rushed, and we left full, happy, and already talking about coming back. Bloom is such a gem, and we’re so glad we found it. Thank you, Zoey, for taking such good care of us!
Ambiance, food, and the cocktails are amazing here!

I'm so excited every time I go to this place because they always have new and different things to try. Everything I've had has been awesome. The cocktails and mocktails are also fantastic.
If I order an endive salad I would like it to be mostly endive, not mostly kale cupped in endives. This was about as much an endive salad as a typical papaya salad is the cabbage it’s served in. Not massaged. Just raw and poky. :/ Ordered a dessert instead of an entree and asked both at ordering and when entrees were brought out for the dessert to come with the entrees so I could eat while my friends were…. No luck. The yuzu tart was certainly lovely. Updated from previous review on 2025-05-21
Came to Bloom for my birthday dinner with a couple friends and we were all blown away. Bloom gave me a complimentary ube cheesecake for dessert with a birthday candle, so sweet. We tried a ton of stuff, I think the whipped feta, arrancini, cheese plate, and Besitos de yucca. I didn’t order the Yucca Gnocci before the kitchen closed so I didn’t get to try that but everything we had was amazing. Loved the sangria and birds of a feather cocktails too!
I recently ate here in a group of 6. We ordered multiple plates and shared. I was the only vegan but everyone really enjoyed the food. It was a little pricier than I’d usually seek out, but the service was incredible and everything is made in house, even the vegan caviar. Wonderful flavors, textures, and presentations of the dishes. Favorites were: Turnip Causa - #1 pick, the crunch and flavor explosion was incredible! Whipped Feta - so tasty, wish there was a bit more bread for the amount of dip Ube Cheesecake - beautiful presentation, not too sweet I love oyster mushrooms and pushed for us to order two plates of it. Unfortunately it was so salty that we could barely finish one. I wish I had gone with a different dish.
I’ve been vegan 9 years and this is my favorite vegan restaurant ever. Perfect for special occasions. I cannot recommend their whipped feta appetizer enough; I think it’s the best thing I’ve ever tasted. That being said, I’ve had a ton of stuff off of their menu and never been disappointed!
