Came to Bloom for my birthday dinner with a couple friends and we were all blown away. Bloom gave me a complimentary ube cheesecake for dessert with a birthday candle, so sweet. We tried a ton of stuff, I think the whipped feta, arrancini, cheese plate, and Besitos de yucca. I didn’t order the Yucca Gnocci before the kitchen closed so I didn’t get to try that but everything we had was amazing. Loved the sangria and birds of a feather cocktails too!

I recently ate here in a group of 6. We ordered multiple plates and shared. I was the only vegan but everyone really enjoyed the food. It was a little pricier than I’d usually seek out, but the service was incredible and everything is made in house, even the vegan caviar. Wonderful flavors, textures, and presentations of the dishes. Favorites were: Turnip Causa - #1 pick, the crunch and flavor explosion was incredible! Whipped Feta - so tasty, wish there was a bit more bread for the amount of dip Ube Cheesecake - beautiful presentation, not too sweet I love oyster mushrooms and pushed for us to order two plates of it. Unfortunately it was so salty that we could barely finish one. I wish I had gone with a different dish.

I’ve been vegan 9 years and this is my favorite vegan restaurant ever. Perfect for special occasions. I cannot recommend their whipped feta appetizer enough; I think it’s the best thing I’ve ever tasted. That being said, I’ve had a ton of stuff off of their menu and never been disappointed!

Entirely vegan restaurant in Wicker Park, Chicago. The food was so good we forgot to take pictures. We went for brunch. We split half of the stuffed French toast which was like an organsmic experience. We split the churro waffle that was light and fluffy like no vegan waffle I’ve ever had. We each had a cappuccino that was rich and amazing. This is the vegan brunch place that I’ve been missing.

Always incredible food and service! The host was very welcoming and our server had extensive knowledge of the menu, much appreciated! I will definitely be recommending Bloom to my friends and family.

I do not recommend Bloom. The food was fine and our server was friendly and attentive. But that was expected. And my negative experience is all related to $28

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and we were excited to visit Chicago and read great things about Bloom. We booked a reservation for the counter and chefs tasting. But to book this reservation, we had to use the open table app. Somehow, when I booked the reservation, I intended to book it for Friday, but the app must have reset it and I accidentally booked it for the same day 2 days prior. I had to pay the full amount plus the gratuity, OK and no problem. But I didn’t realize I was off by two days and that evening I was in a class where I could not receive any messages and didn’t realize my error until later that night. The next day I called and explain the situation and was able to reschedule for Friday but understanding that we could be very flexible with the time since this is my error and so we booked for 5:00 PM right when the restaurant opened. Still excited.

Right before we arrived, we were informed that there would be a $28 charge. For the reschedule. We were flexible with the reschedule and went to a time that nobody was in the restaurant. Our emotions went from excitement to full irritation. I asked our server if this $28 could be removed and we would have ordered the wine pairing. And probably certainly spent more. She was very courteous and attentive, and checked with the general manager, But no, it was a firm reschedule charge and therefore we were not going to spend any more money and this left us both with a bad experience with the restaurant. $28.

Additionally, no general manager ever came to discuss anything with us. This was all done through the staff.

We had a bad experience, all stemming from this $28. This easily could’ve been fixed. Remove the charge and we would’ve spent more money.

I do not recommend Bloom and I will never go back there, and will steer anyone away from considering it.

I truly want to absolutely love this place. I love the concept, the service and the vibe. However, way too much of their food is fried. Most vegans are looking for a healthier lifestyle/diet and fried food is just not a part of that. Please find more options that are not fried for your menu!

Came here for lunch on a Friday - Love the aesthetic of the place, it’s so bright and airy! My sister in law is GF and dairy free so this place was perfect!

Our server was attentive and the food was good!

3% Surcharge is absolutely unacceptable. They're calling it "Environmental Fee". Just price the food according.

Food is great but would have appreciated bit more quantity for the price. Still not bad at all. Service was very good and fast. Atmosphere is good but can be very loud on Friday evening for a date.

I have a lot of allergies and dietary restrictions. It was sooo refreshing that one of the first things they asked was about allergies and they let you know that everything they make is plant based and gluten free so I didn't even need to worry about my allergies. The drink was amazing and the fried mushroom thing (I'm not a mushroom girl usually) was amazing and tasted like normal gluten fried chicken. My friend loved her meal as well and they have some of the best cocktails.

Vegetarian options: Restaurant is vegan

Dietary restrictions: Completely Gluten-free and plant based (no animal products at all, no egg, meat, or dairy) restaurant. They are also sensitive to allergies.

Parking: Parking on the side streets is free but you might have to walk farther. We couldn't catch a spot on their street on the weekend.
