What a lovely restaurant. Our food was superb, and our service was excellent. Loved the fried chicken eggs Benedict. A+++++
I chose Blue Door for Thanksgiving because it is intimate and the food is excellent, and it didn't disappoint. The food was delicious, and they were flexible, letting us substitute one side for mashed potatoes (enough for us to split). It was not noisy. Their drinks are inventive. Our server was very attentive. The cost was very reasonable. Thank you Blue Door!
One of my favorite restaurants in Chicago! I love the atmosphere. Food is one of a kind, I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken. It was absolutely delicious, and one of my favorite dishes.

We sat in the patio which was lovely. Service was spot on. Food was delicious. A great brunch spot!
Noisy... we were seated on the heated outdoor patio. It was difficult to have a conversation. The food was excellent. The service was just soso- we were seated in the rear corner (actually by the service alley) and were forgotten. When finally recognized service did improve. I would go back if we could sit in the main dining room.
Enjoyed a delicious small meal with my daughter after arriving in Chicago. Environment was lovely and service excellent. The kale salad, cornbread, and macaroni and cheese were amazing.

I walked a mile in the snow to eat here and it was worth every step. Hands down the best cornbread I’ve ever had in my life. The kale and brussel salad was unbelievable, too.

Cute little spot that is great for brunch. I was looking for something light while I was wasting time, and ended up getting the deviled eggs and the crab cakes.
The deviled eggs were the 2nd worst deviled eggs I have ever had. That's not to say they were horrible by any means, but they were mediocre at best. They didn't taste fresh, and I thought the presentation was some of the worst I have ever seen, It looked like I ordered deviled eggs from a sports bar at a mall, or from a place like Buffalo Wild Wings. The potato chips and bacon added nothing to the dish and felt like an afterthought. A complete disappointment.
The crab cakes, however, were the complete opposite. One of the best crab cakes I have ever had. I normally don't take pictures of food after I have cut into it, but I had to show the inside of these cakes! There was hardly any binder, it was all crab, and it was DELICIOUS. Perfectly fried, seasoned, and a complete homerun.
If I had only had the deviled eggs, this would be a 2-star review in my opinion and I would never think about coming back. That being said, the crab cakes really saved my experience and my rating. I would gladly come back for the crab cakes and to try something else.

Service is amazing! You have a greeter right at the door who checks you in and the atmosphere inside is very welcoming and mellow. I had the buttermilk fried chicken with mashed potatoes and hot sauce! Great quality crispy fresh and just great flavor. Highly recommend!

It would have been a five out of five experience, however while we were there waiting for our food to come out, a tall blonde man who worked there (presumably the manager or owner) very loudly chastised one of his employees for a minor infraction and threatened her job in front of the entire restaurant. It was very unprofessional and it made me uncomfortable. Other than that, the food was delicious and the service from the wait staff was excellent.

Wow, add calabrian glazed salmon to Brussels and kale salad, and just ask for more!
Very solid brunch place with your classic American food options! Had the omelet and shared a side of their Mac and cheese- wow it was amazing! Now I see why this place has multiple Michelin stars!
The place is very nicely decorated! Staff was very nice and prompt!

Blue Door Kitchen is easily one of my favorite go-to spots for breakfast/brunch. Their outdoor patio is so quaint, their food is all so delicious, and their cocktails are decadent! Highly recommend coming here for a date, a brunch with your girlfriends, family that’s visiting in town, or even by yourself.

Cute little place just around the corner from the main shopping /dining district on Rush. Quaint dining area with a nice outside patio. Service staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the drinks and menu. Tried the specialty cocktails and both were tasty with well balanced flavors. Soup, salad and main entrees were all thoughtfully prepared, flavorful and appealing. Good variety on the menu. We will be back.
