I went in to do a pick up order. And when I walked in the gentleman who handed me my food what’s acting like I was bothering him. He didn’t say hello or anything, and he was frankly kind of abrupt and rude. I asked him if there was a straw for my drink and he just pointed to the bag and then turned around with no “thank you” or anything. When I got back to my job to eat my food, the turkey sausage I ordered was not in the order at all. I paid for it, but I did not get my sausage. That on top of the Rude service kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. I have been there before, and it is usually not like that at all. It really kind of surprised me to be honest.

Hands down one of the coziest and tastiest breakfast experiences in Chicago! 🥞💘 Where do I even begin… Mr. Edgar welcomed us right away with so much kindness that we instantly knew we were in for a wonderful morning. Then came the banana latte - warm, smooth, and just so amazing. Then the most delicious benedicts (and I also love how many options they have for every craving!). And yep, the white chocolate & caramel pretzel pancakes absolutely stole our hearts! And of course, who am I to say no to a good matcha? 🍵 The pistachio matcha was such a perfect addition to everything!! This place truly has our hearts and we already cannot wait to be back! Thank you, Edgar and the team 🌟

I have been here twice, and each time the service and food have been excellent. The fact that there are plenty of vegetarian options is a relief, since I often dine with non-meat-eaters. The breakfast burrito and tomatillo salsa scramble are both tasty. It can be busy, but I have always had prompt, polite service.

We have been dying to try out the famous Bongo Room. All the times we’ve stopped by the line is out the door so it’s safe to say our expectations were high. We ordered the Caramel Pancakes and Chorize Burrito to split. Although the prices are a bit high it’s definitely someplace we would come back! Delicious food , Great ambience and our server Medi made the experience all the better!

The Bongo Room was very chaotic and crowded. It’s a cafeteria atmosphere with fine dining prices. Our food was cold and unseasoned. So loud you can’t hear yourself think.
The breakfast is really yummy, it has good quality ingredients and big portions! The service is also very nice.

Bongo Room is an amazing brunch spot with a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Their pancakes are seriously some of the best I’ve ever had — fluffy, creative, and full of flavor. The staff is always cheerful and quick, even when it’s packed. It’s definitely one of those places you look forward to coming back to on a lazy weekend morning.

Wife and I chose this spot for our brunch before leaving Chicago (few years ago). This has left a lasting impression even after all this time, and would love to revisit this spot on our next trip.
I clearly don't remember everything we had (except that we cleaned up our plates), but their French toast is something that pushes us to head to Chicago again for a weekend trip.
