Boxcar Betty’s is the perfect southern fried chicken restaurant. it is comfort food, it’s delicious and it’s real, genuine food. My favorite sandwich is the Boxcar, the pimento cheese is killer and elevates the entire sandwich. Boxcar Betty’s is my favorite chicken sandwich place and I cannot wait to get a million sandwiches and cheddar fries at Lollapalooza. Everyone should go here as soon as they enter Ogilve and get off their train. it will fix everything wrong in your life and i’m sad that it’s closed right now because i am on the train writing this wanting my Boxcar fix. GO HERE!! support this awesome business. the service is exceptional and the food….WOW!!!!!!!!
Love this place!! So glad it survived the pandemic and keeps trucking to this day. I've always had excellent service and great quality food. Highly recommend for a convenient lunch.
If I had any note to make, it's that the sandwich (especially the buffalo) has very mild flavors. A little heat isn't a bad thing! :)

Great lunch spot in the Ogilvie Transportation Center. This was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Chicken was fried, homemade pimento cheese, spicy mayo, and the peach slaw was perfect, tangy and sweet. The pickles were fresh, bright, and crunchy. The only downside is their hours are short focused on the lunch crowd so I don't know when I'll be able to return. $12 chicken sandwich and fresh cut fries (not soggy).
