Stopped by 16th Street Bar & Coffee Lounge in the South Loop last weekend and had a fantastic time. Spent around $30 on drinks, starting with their signature Espresso Martini, which was smooth and had the perfect kick. Also tried the Southside Sunset cocktail—a delightful mix of cognac, pear liqueur, allspice dram, and lemon juice—that was both refreshing and flavorful. The vibe inside is cozy and intimate, with dim lighting and a chill atmosphere that makes it easy...
This is my favorite chill spot. No better place on Chicago Marathon day for getting into the cheer spirit. It was a bit crowded as folks were making plans to spot friends at the tail end of the course. But the staff handled it well.
I love the coffee shop bar idea. I wish there were more spots like this. I will say it's more bar than coffee shop. I wish it was more of a balance of both like pastries and light eats but otherwise it was nice. The prices were great!
