Tried Byrd’s Hot Chicken for the first time today and it was really good. The chicken was fresh, had good flavor, and the spice was solid. Big plus that they’re certified Zabiha halal. Definitely worth checking out.
Everything was great except the chicken in my chicken sandwich was the size of a single chicken finger. It was cooked well but would have looked more at home on a hot dog bun than the very good round bun it was presented on. Shrinkflation I guess.
A much needed new lunch spot in the area. Good food and friendly staff. One thing I would recommend is including a choice of coleslaw instead of potato salad as a combo side. Right now the sides are too potato heavy.
