By far my favorite Michelin experience in Chicago. We ate here in our first night of a 3-day weekend trip in January. I lined up meals at several Michelin star restaurants. After the weekend was over, this was my favorite. Full disclosure, I am not the most adventurous eater and I LOVE Italian food. We didn't do the tasting menu because we were not sufficiently hungry but it looked so enticing. But everything we had was AMAZING. I can't wait to go back.

The review is for Spiaggia, not Cafe Spiaggia, though I'm sure the Cafe is wonderful as well. Celebrated our anniversary with the Spiaggia team and had an absolutely amazing 3+hr dinner. Delicious food, amazing service, and just an overall fun experience. Isalata di Pomodoro with heirloom tomatoes was so delicious, as was the Fluke Crudo, Ippoglosso, and Black Truffle Gnocchi.You won't go wrong with any of these choices that you can share. The dinner bread with butter is WOW!The dessert is something else entirely (and I don't usually order dessert). The honey and almond gelato is so, so good. Add on Pasticciotto and Dolci di Melone, and it's getting a little sinful. Thank you for making our dinner so special, Spiaggia! See you soon :)

This review is actually for Spiaggia and not Cafe Spiaggia. For some reason, the actual restaurant is not available on Google, only the cafe. Regardless, we had a great experience. The food was great and the service was top-notch. I was very impressed with all of the precautions they were taking with regards to COVID - there were a lot of small details with regards to our visit that really made a huge difference in our experience. There's a reason this place has been around for 35 years.

Everything went well today. I went here today with a friend to eat and I can say I am very satisfied with the service and food. The server (David), was really nice and helpful and whenever I requested something he got it done. He even explained the food, when I asked and it was very helpful because I knew what I was ordering. Also the food was cheaper than expected and was around my budget. They also have a system here where they can put your card on file and, that is very useful because it can be used to get rid of awkward situations of splitting the bill. You just need to call in and ask about it. One thing I would recommend when coming here is to dress up a little, because I felt a little out of place due to the fact that I was wearing casual clothing. While everyone else was wearing a button ups and dresses. BUT, the servers here still treated us equally. I really enjoyed it here and I hope to come back on my next day off, or when I can clear my schedule. Thank you guys for the service and the experience.

Lucky for me my girlfriend from St Louis treated me to dinner here and we were not disappointed - I haven't met a homemade pasta in Chicago that I didn't love!We started with the meatball appetizer and I appreciate that they are more affordable than Spiaggia.

Enjoyed some delicious take out pasta from Cafe Spiaggia! I ordered the Broccoli Orecchiette for myself and dropped off more of that as well as gnocchi and meatballs to some friends for a virtual dinner. The orecchiette was absolutely delish, flavorful w/ good portions (the toasted pine nuts were next level) and my friends really enjoyed their meals too, particularly the gnocchi! Pasta is tricky as take out, but we had no complaints here.Even beyond the delicious food, was the hospitality during these difficult times. The order was brought out to my car for curbside pickup and it was just as warm as ever. Masks and gloves were worn. All the dishes were individually packed for convenient drop offs. If you order $50 worth of food, they even gift you with a gift card of $25 to use later, which became a no brainer after the first bite! Will definitely be back, eventually when it's safe for businesses to open, but certainly for more takeout while we patiently wait! Would absolutely recommend you support this restaurant during this public health/financial crisis!

Always great for dinner or for just stopping at the bar for an appetizer and drink. The gnocchi with truffle shavings is a must dish. Staff is extremely friendly, ask for Patrick at the bar.
