Today’s my birthday and the young lady there congratulated me and also put a cute “feliz cumple” note on my horchata late!!! She made my day!!! It’s the little things that count. Gracias Cafe Tola!!

Cafe Tola never misses! Their empanadas are delicious and big enough to be a meal. My current favorite is the birria & cheese but I also love the buffalo chicken and ham, egg & cheese. DON’T SLEEP ON THE HORCHATA LATTE! The folks who work there are so kind and the decor vibes are amazing!

Pretty good empanadas, but would not recommend for vegetarians. I ordered one of each of the vegetarian empanadas and was given one with meat in it (I think she pulled from the wrong section as I was given the ropa vieja instead of the vegan one). the employee was willing to replace it but what I ended up with still had meat in it (not sure what it was). I think it probably wasn’t her fault as it seemed like things were just not organized properly, but it sucks to have eaten meat by accident after having literally never eaten meat before lol. Avoid if you have allergies/restrictions but my partner had one of the meat empanadas and said it was pretty good!

Great spot with consistently delicious food and friendly service. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned, and came out fast. Definitely a place I’d return to for a reliable, satisfying meal.

Great selection of empanadas and tacos along with coffee drinks. The interior is very small but there's a patio on the sidewalk and next to the café to sit at.

The empanadas were great, crust and fillings were both superb. Absolutely worth your time to go here.

Best Horchata Latte I've ever tried. There was plenty of delicious Empanada flavors to try, both sweet and savory.

There is seating but its outdoors and limited.

For 2 empanadas and and an iced horchata latte I paid about $20.

Super tasty empanadas and coffee. There isn’t any room inside to sit, but the patio is great when the weather permits.

I paid $7+ for a Birria empanada at the farmers market and got a potato empanada. If i’m paying an astronomical $7 for an empanada that probably cost the restaurant 50 cents to make per empanada, I expect to at least get the correct one.

Also the horchata latte is $7+ as well but the entire thing is ice and hardly any drink.

The empanadas are truly innovative (fillings) and delicious. The only issue is that the heat is on and so the air conditioning is competing with the heat. It’s 95 degrees outside. Very weird and not energy efficient.

Your empanadas have been cold for weeks. Fix the glass on your warmer already.

Thank you. Been going here for years. I'll 5 star the empanadas are warm again. 💀

Cafe Tola is a fun & colorful stop for coffee and empanadas. The apple pie empanada was comforting and tasty, while the iced latte was refreshing and well balanced.

They were at an event on Saturday and I got to try their beef empanada and it was delicious. When I come back into town I’m going to stop at the restaurant and grab some more. Chefs kiss!
