I love this place! The staff is warm and inviting, the space is clean and they do a great job of hosting fun events for all ages. I highly recommend going here for work during the weekdays or going here for coffee with friends on the weekends. You won't be disappointed!

MotherLand Cafe is fabulous!! Coffee is excellent & the food is truly Egyptian!! The BEST hawawshi I've had in Chicago, + beef & chicken Shawerma, & baklawa ❤️❤️❤️ do yourself a favor & go grab some food, coffee, (or tea!) at Motherland! Such a great neighborhood spot!!

Motherland restaurant & coffee shop is outstanding! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with plenty of space to relax or work. Their coffee is smooth and flavorful, and they also have great teas and desserts. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home.. I’ll keep coming back again.

I recently visited Motherland Cafe and was quite disappointed with the experience. I tried the Shakshuka sandwich and the beef sandwich — unfortunately, neither was up to the mark in taste or quality. To finish, I ordered the Kunafa, which turned out to be the biggest letdown. It wasn’t even close to Kunafa, as it had no cheese at all and felt more like a completely different dessert. For a place presenting itself as authentic, this was very underwhelming. Definitely not worth the hype or the price.

I had a delicious beef shawarma and latte. Grace was very nice and I have no complaints about the service. I’ll definitely be back to try some of the other things on the menu!!

Such an adorable Cafe! Grace and Jenny were very knowledge and patient with my questions. I tried an iced latte and a pistachio birds nest. Both were phenomenal, I could eat an entire box of those bird nests. You've gotta try this place!

Place was empty, felt abandon almost. One employee who made a coffee and misheard the order. That could be on my part, but when asked gave push back and didn't try to help fix the issue. Then paid $3 for a cookie that was clearly not made there, and was just purchased from Costco.

All the bakery items looked sad, in their little display cases. Half of the display cases were empty.

Not really a good vibe to go to. Would suggest finding another place.

Fresh food! Very kind gentleman working and cooking behind the counter. He let us sample the chocolate pistachio truffle. Wow! It was delicious.
