Lovely old school italian spot. Great portion sizes and prices. The pasta is had wasn't cooked all the way. Chicken parm was think crust was a little soggy under the sauce.. its way just okay.

I’m super disappointed. I just dined here in person 2 months ago and the food was absolutely delicious, so I decided to order through Uber Eats tonight. I ordered the vodka ziti, which had no flavor. The peas were hard and the chicken was mush. It was clear that it had been frozen too long and had freezer burn. Im just gonna throw it away. Then I saw other people gave poor reviews for the same reason. I gave 2 stars because the food is good in person, I’m just not going to order takeout again.

Calo's is one if my all time favorite restaurants in Chicago! I live down South, but love Italian food. Calo's has the most amazing sauce I've ever had & I've spent lots of time in Italy over the years. The meat in the sauce is minced very fine & melts in your mouth as well as the cheese filled ravioli. Calo's has the best red sauce I've ever eaten. The service is ALWAYS amazing as well as the awesome atmosphere. Love to u all!

THIS Restaurant has a very romantic atmosphere, experience to always remember. Dishes: calamari, creamy pasta with sausage and peas, soup, octopus, dessert tirimasu, Excellent quality foods. Service is perfect.
Great food and service. Since '63 when I was growing up in the neighborhood. Had a taste for the Linguini Frutti di Mare and it did not disappoint!! Great portions size. Friend had the Pollo Saltimbocca. And do not forget the fried calamari or drinks!!

I grew up in Andersonville, right above Calo's and I remember studying and behaving so I could get pizza for dinner. I loved it! I grew up and moved to Florida and came back to Chicago last year and I have been ordering Calo's since I discovered that it's still there. Thank you for staying and bringing me food. Love it!
