Carbon has been my favorite Mexican restaurant in Chicago for quite a few years. I don't live anywhere close to either location, but I gladly make the trek any time I get the Carbon crave. There hasn't been a single thing on the menu that I didn't like. Their steak is marinated/grilled to perfection and even their sides like their elote is fantastic. Their roasted red pepper sauce is one of the many things I HAVE to get when I visit. I'd buy it by the gallon if they'd let me!
They stole 650 from a public educator was 2 hours late and are dodging her calls now but want people to cater with them 🙄
I ate the Mother Clucker...Best..Burrito...Ever!!

Carbon Live Fire Mexican Grill is a popular spot for delicious and consistent Mexican cuisine. Their dishes are flavorful and generous in size, with options like the chicken fajitas burrito and burrito salad bowls being particular favorites. The restaurant's flame-grilled meats, such as the massive burritos and steak, are also a hit. The Campechano Bowl is supreme and makes you forget about your issues. The chicken burrito was awesome and extremely delicious. The size and price are amazing, and the service is welcoming. It’s a walk-up spot with a cool ambiance and is definitely worth it. Customers love the variety of salsas, especially the roasted red pepper creamy sauce and the spicy red sauce, which add extra flavor to the meals. The portions are generous and everything tastes fresh. Many visitors have enjoyed their experience, noting that the food is healthy, tasty, and consistently good. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to provide excellent customer service, often offering complimentary items like beans and rice when they can't fulfill an order completely. The atmosphere inside is vibrant, with street art lining the walls, and there’s a sit-down area with a window that opens to enjoy the summer vibes or to dine comfortably during colder months. Overall, Carbon Live Fire Mexican Grill is a favorite for flavorful, fresh food served with a welcoming attitude.
