The place is drab. The green chicken pozole tasted sour. I had the red pork a time before, because it was recommended, but to be honest, the flavor was just off. Their red salsa tasted like shrimp soup base. I really wanted to like this place, but sour soups are a turn off.

If you're looking for a quick bite to eat, this place has delicious tacos. Nothing pretentious about this spot, what you'll get is a dish like the one you'd get from tú mamás kitchen. I haven't been let down yet, except one time when there was a big discrepancy between menu prices through some online food delivery site vs their actual menu, so now I always call the order in vs ordering online... check this place out sometime if you're craving Mexican food, especially tacos. The delivery was speedy too! Support this local business

This place is garbage...! Looks like garbage! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS PLACE!!! No menu on the wall no prices! They have their meat in a stream table! Which lets all the meat sit in its greases NOT JUICES! All condiments are extra! Not very flavourful, super greasy! THEY DON'T EVEN GIVE YOU THE OBLIGITORY SAMPLE TO TASTE WHILE YOU WAIT! WHICH ALSO TOOK FOREVER! YOU CAN GET REAL CARNITAS AT ANY LITTLE MOM N POP CORNER GROCERY STORE ON SOUTHSIDE!!! FOR LESS MONEY AND WAY BETTER TASTING! OR ONE OF THE O.G.REAL CARNITAS PLACES! A little a place the old fashioned way to take out or a quick bite.The carnitas just like Mexico the style of Michoacan.good salsas and fresh tortillas. I really love the tacos of carnitas very good!I recommend this little place when you in the area . Carnitas La EsquinaYour Carnitas are very good!

This place has some of the best tacos I’ve had in the city. Although I live in the far north side and spend a lot of time in the suburbs I go out of my way to come here when I’m fortunate to have time. The service is very great and friendly.
Carnitas were overpriced compared to other locations, about $12 lb. They seemed old. They fried them to reheated them when I ordered so that dried them up further. They chopped them up so that they could mix in organs even though I asked for meat only. It was not edible. It was salty, dry, old, and about 1/3 organs.The location is a hole in the wall. Looks dirty. I never saw the carnitas like at other locations, which should have been a warning sign. Service is rather poor, but nothing noteworthy. It was empty, but it was like I was bothering them. Cook had to get up from a chat on the only customer table with his friends/family to reheat and chop the carnitas. Went back to sit down. No customer service. Not rude, but definitely not wanting us back. I'm writing this to save anybody else the trouble, money, and experience.

Tried to call in an order. No one answered. Placed the order online. I got a call back from a different number and placed again over the phone. Went in to pick up a chicken burrito. They said they had no orders. I left and called back the number that called me. I said I just placed an order but when I went, they said there wasn’t one. I described what I was wearing. The person on the phone said they aren’t at the store but will fix it. They gave me a call back and told me it’d be ready in 5 minutes. I truly feel this all happened because I was Black and the lady wasn’t trying to serve me. I’m sure the person working the register is the same person I was on the phone with. And the burrito gave me food poisoning ??♂️

Carnitas are good! I've eaten here a couple times and the food is authentic and they give you large portions.
