I love Central Park Bar. It’s truly one of my favorite spots, I go all the time, I love the bartenders, and the patio has always been one of the best places to hang out.
That said, the patio has recently become swarming with wasps. My partner found a wasp in his drink, and I’ve even been stung. So now it’s gotten to the point where I honestly can’t come back until this is addressed.
I really hope management takes this seriously, because this bar is special to me and I’d love to keep coming. But as it stands, the patio is just too unsafe right now.

My friends and I came for a drink and OF THEIR OWN VOLITION the bartenders turned on the finale of love island. My friends and I had 2+ drinks each and all tipped 25%. As we were leaving we heard the bartender, who was outside smoking, complain that we closed our tabs and sat at a table to watch the end of the show that they decided to put on the tv. In an empty bar on a Sunday. Insane move and, honestly, completely mediocre service to be complaining that we didn’t want to stay and hang out with those loser vibes. BOOOOOOO

I’ve gone to CPB once before and liked the atmosphere.
For my Birthday I decided to get a nightcap on the patio on a Monday at 10:30pm.
My friend and I were not acknowledged at all while we very awkwardly waited at the semi empty bar. Worst experience I’ve ever had. As someone who is in the industry I understand even if it doesn’t look busy there’s still things that need to be done. However, the bare minimum is “hello, I’ll be with you shortly”

Waited until midnight on a work day for a raffle announcement and they decided that they just weren't going to do it anymore. We had tickets in hand for the raffle too. I wouldn't trust any published event this place posts

No food but they do get some pop up vendors every once in awhile. You can always bring food in from other places as well. Dog friendly until 8pm. 50% drinks on weekdays until 7pm. One of the best happy hours. Coolest outdoor bars in Chicago
Highly recommend Central Park Bar for events! We were able to reserve a spot on the back patio for a party and it was perfect. Booking was simple, the atmosphere was so fun, and the price for a private party was very reasonable. Mickey worked with us day-of and was awesome. We'll definitely think of them again for future events!

Not sure if it had food cause it got dust-stormed out, but dont believe they sell food themselves in general.
Cool vibe, especially on a nice day. Unfortunately lackluster service, whether it was incredibly slow or simply inattentive bartenders - I recognize it could just be an off night staffing wise. The lack of communication amongst the staff was evident. Much less inclined to go for any prolonged drinking.
Upon reading the other reviews i realize others had similar qualms with the outdoor bar staff - oof.

It’s a cool neighborhood bar with a back patio and is dog friendly. They have a gigantic connect four and a bumper pool table. There’s a second bar in that playroom. Good drinks. Good selection of beer. It can get a bit loud when the bar starts getting full. At least in the main bar area.
