Poke Okie is a hidden gem in the Logan square/Avondale area, renowned for its delicious and fresh poke bowls made with a wide variety of high-quality ingredients. The restaurant boasts a unique jungle beach vibe, creating a relaxing mood that's perfect for studying or enjoying a meal alone or with friends. There are many vegan options like the brown rice and tofu poke bowl, along with meat and fish choices such as the Salmon, Tuna, Octopus poke bowl, and the best Sushi Burrito. The fish is fresh, the rice is cooked properly, and portions are balanced. They also offer unique items like Spam Musubi, Takoyaki, and Ube Coconut Cupcake for those seeking something different. The food is customizable, with three sizes available to cater to smaller appetites or kids. Although the preparation time can be a bit long, the overall freshness and quality make Poke Okie a great place for poke. However, some smoothies, like the Hawaiian sunshine, can be too filling. Despite being closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, Poke Okie remains a top choice for poke lovers.
